A video has shown people's desperate bid to flee Kyiv overnight on Tuesday as explosions struck residential areas and as many as 15,000 troops - an entire Russian army division - bore down on Ukraine's capital.
Footage from Kyiv station showed hundreds of civilians, some with young children, trying to cram onto an already packed train amid fears that the city could soon be turned into a war zone.
Air strikes rocked residential suburbs of the capital on Tuesday night as a 40-mile long convoy of Russian military vehicles inched closer, with fears that President Vladimir Putin's troops will soon lay siege to the city.
Another convoy was reported to be moving towards Kyiv from the south-east, with plans to encircle it.

It is pretty hard to take all the crap on this site these days. Putin’s evil is now out in full display and some of these jerks are gloating about it. And then there is the group too ignorant of history and / or too self absorbed to understand what Ukraine’s falling would mean in the long run. or even suggest how we can counter Putin. Bah! I have more respect for the flippin’ Germans now that they seem to have woken up, than either our own administration or the apologists. Freaking tools of Satan. And that’s a sad thing to have to say.
Anyway, rant off: The more important thing to say to you is that I hope your people can somehow get through this. They have my prayers, and a prayer Ukraine will come out of this rightfully proud and stronger than ever, with the evil of Russian aggression / Empire put in the grave forever.

Yes, it has been shocking how many Freepers want to write off the Ukraine due to corruption (as if we are in a position to sit on our high horse). I would think breaking the peace and invading Ukraine would be condemned by all but the mentally ill Freepers but so many on here have no empathy for patriotic Ukrainians and their uphill struggle to save their country.

I know what putin is. I’m not blind nor dumb.
He’s an assassin. He misses the “glory days” of the USSR.
But he’s smart enough to know that with dwindling population and the decay coming from the west..that he needs the church there as an integral piece to getting things together over there.
He’s also a nationalist.
He sees where the world is heading...one world government. And he doesnt like it.

After all, Putin has pined for decades how the breakup of the Soviet Union was one of the greatest geopolitical tragedies of the 20th century and he has been very consistent in making it clear he wants to put it back together.
While Trump called Putin a genius, he didn't intend for the complement to suggest that was an endorsement of Putin's invasion of Ukraine - just in case you are confused. Trump has condemned Putin rather harshly, he even called the invasion a holocaust, so Trump has given you a green light that it's OK to acknowledge evil.
It’s all smoke and mirrors. Watch live cameras in the Ukraine instead of the MSM. It’s as calm as can be there. Kiev has lights on and mild traffic. The war pics are from the last invasion since they’ve been at it for years. Calm down, people.

If the entire population was armed this would be over by now. If The Russian’s lack night vision, then arming the Ukraine with civilian night vision “hunting” systems would give them a decisive advantage. In appropriating Russian supplies.
