A video has shown people's desperate bid to flee Kyiv overnight on Tuesday as explosions struck residential areas and as many as 15,000 troops - an entire Russian army division - bore down on Ukraine's capital.

Footage from Kyiv station showed hundreds of civilians, some with young children, trying to cram onto an already packed train amid fears that the city could soon be turned into a war zone.

Air strikes rocked residential suburbs of the capital on Tuesday night as a 40-mile long convoy of Russian military vehicles inched closer, with fears that President Vladimir Putin's troops will soon lay siege to the city.

Another convoy was reported to be moving towards Kyiv from the south-east, with plans to encircle it.

Yes I believe so to....however just like in Iraq explosions send debris flying which unfortunately will hit people in it's path. And not all Ukrainians have left targeted areas.

Anyone living in a city should be leaving if they haven't already. And or living near infrastructure such as TV and communication towers. We can pray God will keep those sheltered who cannot escape...and provide.

Just believe there’a war in Ukraine and people will die and get hurt as in any war. Many will be refugees...and many angry leaders will speak and emotions will run high..... Sadly war brings misery and destruction anywhere it takes place.

The truth won’t be known until the dust settles and some will never be known. We just hope this will go on in short order and not for months.

I’m hearing other nations ,where theres been wars and conflicts ongoing, they’re upset that the attention given to Ukraine was not given for them. Why doesn’t the world leaders come together for them it’s been said.

The Soviets could only partially control (roughly) 12 million Afghans, some of whom were on their side, with over 100,000 troops, and eventually left, bloodied. How many would it take in Ukraine? 200,000? More?

Sure, it “can” be done with brutal enough methods. But I believe the Russian people are civilized and will eventually end it.
