'Dammit, Mr. President, I am not going to talk to you about Hunter Biden': Bill Barr yelled at Trump.

Former Attorney General William Barr claims in a new book that he yelled at his boss, then-President Donald Trump over a discussion regarding Hunter Biden shortly before the November 2020 election.

“In his upcoming book, ‘One Damn Thing After Another,’ Barr recalled that in October 2020, Trump called soon after a Newsmax segment on Hunter Biden’s laptop,” Fox News reported Wednesday.

“Reports about the computer revolved around emails that appeared to connect Joe Biden to his son’s business dealings when the elder Biden was vice president,” the report continued.

“You know this stuff from Hunter Biden’s laptop?” Trump asked Barr, the book says.

“Mr. President, I can’t talk about that, and I am not going to,” Barr says he responded “sharply.”

Hunter Biden was reportedly already under federal investigation at the time for various allegations including potential tax issues. Barr wrote in his book that Trump didn’t appreciate his tone.

“You know, if that was one of my kids,” Trump began before Barr cut him off quickly.

“Dammit, Mr. President, I am not going to talk to you about Hunter Biden. Period!” Barr fired back, in a raised voice.

After a brief silence, Trump got off the phone; Barr wrote that his chief of staff, Will Levi, who was in the room during the call, was shocked.

“You yelled at the President?” Levi asked, with Barr nodding in confirmation, the book claims.

Also, Barr ignored fraud in the 2020 election and resigned right after the election.

You should be very happy, Bill Barr did not "leak" to his superior the president of the United States of America not only refusing to report the status of an actual case but on the investigation of the allegedly political investigation of that case while the Justice Department leaked artfully, enthusiastically and ubiquitously to the whole world against Trump.

I think President Trump said ‘you are fired’, about the time the attorney in PA was told by Bull Barr to shut down the investigation.

The truth and facts are a foreign concept to Bull Barr.. he took a false oath..

Every time someone calls for “Term Limits” I think about the Deep State antics and just how much more omnipotent the “Swamp” would be if we were EVER FOOLISH enough to fall for a stupid move of term limitations on elected officials without limits on every government staffer down to the valets and janitors too.

I understand completely. How many people serving their country at all levels, civilian and military, have abrogated their oath that they rose their right hand to take and swore to God on?

It is this fundamental breakdown, that an oath means nothing, your WORD means nothing nowadays.

And if you say it does, people look at you like a fossilized dinosaur.

Barr stood in the way of voter fraud investigations. Now, there are millions who believe Biden didn’t win.

Yes...Trump has flaws, as everyone does. I find him to be remarkably similar in outlook and style to General George Patton, who was a brilliant yet as we all are, flawed man.

I accept those flaws in someone who can get things done, and Trump is no dummy-he had learned from his mistakes, and I expect he would do better if he gets the chance.

“Barr had a duty to investigate Hunter Biden but chose not to because of his own political views“

Precisely. He should be in prison today.

Cue the attacks on yet another dud of a Trump pick. Look I like Trump but at some point you realize you can’t have it both ways. Either Trump is terrible at working with people or he’s terrible at picking people. I might have been willing to cut him some slack if things turned out differently in 2020. But maybe its better for him to play kingmaker next time.
**************
Politically inexperienced Trump could have done much better with EOB appointments, but his cabinet choices were at the mercy of a Senate that that did not support him. His next term should turn-out better.

After seeing all of the Personnel disasters that President Trump had during his administration it’s my hope that he starts a research project identifying potential conservative candidates to place in these cabinet level positions as well as the Major Departments.

He should also be researching the the Senior levels of the General Staff for potential advancement up the chain of Command to replace the Milly’s and such.

We need a Terrifying fighting force that’s well equipped that will deter thugs like Putin and the like.

A very popular ELECTED President who had no extensive background and relationships with people in Government. The only crew of hangers-on in DC that were remotely close were former Bushies or Neocons who quite literally lie at the drop of a hat.

Unfortunately, many of the crew that he did hire from private business became enamored of the power in government and the chance to entrench themselves in the power structure for a lifetime. And then there was Paul Ryan....and Roberts......and some of the so-called career tracked government officials who were supposed to be servants - like Barr...

When he gets reelected in 2024 he’d better be thinking about putting any appointee through a full-scope lie detector test is the best advice I can give him.

I’d really like to know who recommended Rod Rosenstein. It was likely Chris Christie (former US Attorney, as he never hesitated to remind us).

Everyone's a tough guy in Trump's presence in their tell-all book. Did you notice that?

Barr is such a tool.

Yes,Trump was an absolute newcomer in politics. IMO it takes time to identify the swamp creatures in DC.

I totally agree. A huge transition from the cut throat real estate business to the much worse stab you in the back politics where people are playing for power with other people’s money.

I hope to vote for Trump again.

Sessions was good handling the border and human trafficking. I was excited when he was appointed. But, the Russia thing was not good. Barr, I never liked and have no idea what good things he may have done while AG. Mot saying he didn’t do good things, I am mot aware of what they are. That said, since he left, he has proved to me that my original assessment of him was, at least for me, accurate.
