WSJ article on Ivermectin study

Timing is everything, along with correct dosages, and the use of zinc, as well. Vitamins C, D3, and anti-inflammatory are recommended also.
Was this a study also using zinc?
Worthless if not. The ivermectin was to act as an ionophore to help the cells absorb zinc and be antiviral. Quercetin is another ionophore.
It’s the long-awaited McMasters Study
“The research involved 1,348 adults in Brazil who tested positive for COVID-19 and were all at risk of developing a severe case. Half of the patients were prescribed a course of ivermectin pills for three days and the other half received a placebo. Dr. Mills and team looked at whether patients on ivermectin were less likely to require hospitalization, whether they cleared the virus faster, whether their symptoms resolved sooner, whether they were in the hospital or on ventilators for less time, and whether there was a difference in death rates between the cohorts.
Findings showed ivermectin didn’t improve patient outcomes for any of these factors.
“This is the first large, prospective study that should really help put to rest ivermectin and not give any credibility to the use of it for COVID-19,” Peter Hotez, MD, PhD, dean of the National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, who reviewed the findings, told the Journal. “

The study in this thread is what you are talking about: Malaysian Study Finds Ivermectin ‘Did Not Prevent’ Severe COVID-19, but Doctors Alliance Calls It ‘Misleading’. This study used a dose of Ivermectin no one is advocating on patients with mild to severe cases and found that major side effects were the same. The 70% reduction in death was not important.
The study in the WSJ article about people who were at risk of a severe case of Covid. So this looks like it was set up to ensure failure of what no one is calling for.
Given the choice, I would have to say I’ll take both thank you. I realize between was in there but for the sake of conversation...
It would appear few had a legal choice for the one, while the President himself was limiting the other.
That appears to be the concern many here have with the inability to find a consistent treatment protocol offered by the medical community other than remdesivir and the vent or no treatment. I realize that might be a generality but the feeling among those shunning the jab was stay away from the hospital if you are sick.
Like I said, wicked sneaky devils as always, setting up the fail. If fat in the stomach helps transport the drug, they make sure the trial participants have none.
“Furthermore, no qualified physician or scientist recommends treating COVID-19 with the low dosage of ivermectin used in the trial, nor treating a patient with ivermectin for only three days on an empty stomach, as TOGETHER did. FLCCC physicians have understood for nearly 18 months that ivermectin works best against COVID-19 when administered with a fatty meal “
It's McMaster University in Canada. This is where the Trudeau government has bought 400 million doses of Covid injections for a country with a population of 38.3 million.
The Trudeau Foundation gets financial recompense for every dose administered (think kickback).
Don't think for minute any study from any university in Canada will be unbiased if the institution likes its grants, tax status or the professors doing the study like their tenure. I would sooner trust my cat.

It works. After the first 2 doses I was dramatically better in 20 hrs from the onset of symptoms. I eventually took 4 doses just to make sure. I took the horse ivermectin.
Probably they were treated very late. Timing of taking the drug is critical. Use is effective only in the first 48 to 72 hours of diagnosis, after that, it’s effectiveness diminishes rapidly. My guess is Big Pharma could not care less.
Wrong
I was talking to a friend and he questioned why there weren’t large outbreaks in the malaria belt of Africa. South Africa is the exception but its out of the malaria belt.
What a coincidence.
I would chose what I did the last time.
By the way, we both got COVID in early 2020. Living in Idaho, we were among the first ones to be exposed to it, the corridor from Seattle down through here into Nevada to the casinos exposed us earlier than many realize.
So we got the full strength of the virus before it dissipated. The proof I gave you about the way it wiped it out in India, which was hit harder than most countries since it is so close to China should tell you all you need to know.
Something by the way you did not even address in your response to me.
Interesting, you give a short response the I am wrong with nor reason for your stance.

Which says a lot about what you know.
What happened in India had nothing to do with the drug and there is many documented information or there showing that. You are providing false and misleading information.
As stated. The actual real studies showed it didn’t work.
The studies were rigged by using a dose that was way below the level it takes to work. The other protocols to work with it were also not used.
These articles such as this one won’t tell the truth because people are trying to cover their rotten asses for allowing people to die when there were medications affordable and available to save lives. If people wanted to use it, why stop them if they are going to die anyway? That in itself is telling.
Isn’t that a right to try?
I hope those who well knew what they were doing by denying people their right to try have to pay for their crimes.
Yeah, that is true you doctors who allowed yourselves to go along with such a scheme. Doctors have become as untrusted as attorneys now.
Link to the REAL studies in India please.
If it is misinformation the prove it by more than one source.
