About 100 modernized T-72 tanks disappeared from the warehouses of the city of Lublin (Poland). This was reported by the Polish news resource Visegrad 24 on Twitter today, April 12.
According to the statement, they have recently been upgraded to the T-72M1R standard (thermal imager and other improvements).
“…Successful hunting, Ukraine," the newspaper writes.
At the same time, the publication emphasized: "The Poles say that the sudden appearance in the Donbas of a large number of T-72 of the Ukrainian army cannot be associated with the disappearance of 100 Polish tanks from Lublin. They say you can buy T-72 in any army store, as well as the weapons used in Crimea in 2014," the resource points out.
I was just at an Army surplus store a few days ago. Where were the tanks??!! I am so disappointed!
😉
Nice convoy you have there. Would be a shame if something happened to it.
The Poles are Trolls!
Sean Penn will volunteer to help.
Ivan doesn’t have a system of military satellites. You can only do so much on a defense budget of $60b. The Russians rely on commercial satellites (which might not be targeted, as precise, or available in real time), the western press, and spies (often commie moles within our system). On the other hand, we have satellite imagery enough to cover the world, often supplemented by airborne radar. We call it the “God’s eye view” of the battle area. Intelligence (”I”) is an important element of the “DIME” (Diplomacy, Intelligence, Military and Economic).
Hi guy, I hope you are doing well.
“Something’s wrong here.”
Yes.
Even though I spent 6 yrs. in Uncle Sam’s boys club, I don’t know...
1. The Bear doesn’t utilize combined arms or battle space management very well.
2. American military would have had Kyiv, Odessa and Mariupol in a week. What happened to Ivan?
3. Putin may have terminal cancer and czar delusions?
Like I said, I stayed at a Holiday Inn one time.
Your guess is as good as mine.

I half-expected to see the EM-50 Urban Assault Vehicle.
Hi.
“Ivan doesn’t have a system of military satellites. “
Mostly true, although two Russian satellites crisscross CONUS every 90 mins. to verify START and SALT treaties.
I said, “ not just from space.” in my post. Many other ways to track 100 tanks.

Not just from space.
“1. The Bear doesn’t utilize combined arms or battle space management very well.”
I agree. And the evidence of Rus-on-Rus friendly fire north of Kyiv speaks to this. Various units had no idea where their pointy tip was as they advanced. That’s not good.
“2. American military would have had Kyiv, Odessa and Mariupol in a week. What happened to Ivan?”
You’re right that we would have taken those objectives quick and fast but then we’d have the same problems as the Russians in dealing with the local insurgency. But at least we’d get to part one.
“3. Putin may have terminal cancer and czar delusions?”
I agree on the tsar delusions. Listening to him talk about Russian speaking and ethnic Russian populations in other countries he comes off unhinged as if he’s the anointed protector of all Russians everywhere. He’s long made clear his intentions to impose Russian domination over the former USSR and Warsaw Pact nations. He’s lost touch with the fact that the Soviet Empire ended. It’s over. And Russia simply doesn’t have what it takes to do what the USSR did.
Cut and paste is not my forte.

Maybe this is true. But I have a different theory.
The troops Russia is using are apparently very green and were drafted shortly before the invasion. Putin has held his best troops back.
This war is designed to suck the West into a land war in eastern and far-eastern Europe. Russia has always won those - eventually - so they aren’t particularly worried.
The CCP is behind this, so the exhausted West won’t interfere with its later efforts in Asia. Putin is doing this for Xi. Biden is doing what he’s doing for Xi, too. The Wuhanic Plague didn’t work (apparently), so time for alternative approaches.
Sounds like a spy novel. Fits too well, though.
Hell, I've got two in my garage... doesn't everyone?
Hi.
I was speaking tactical not strategic. I wouldn’t discount your theory. Plausible.
Because of all the uncertainty, I figure anything can happen.
You know the old Chinese curse, “may you jive in interesting times.”

LOL, i had to check for the BEE byline...
Ghost tanks.
“I cannot comprehend how this Russian bear that we were so terrified of is now turning out to be just a oversize overweight bully who’s getting beaten back by two or three kids in the class who got the guts to do it.”
It’s pretty simple, really. All of Russian society is based on lies and has been for generations. Everyone lies to everyone else about virtually everything. On top of that everyone is stealing anything they can from the government.
All that money allocated for training, maintenance, fuel, and food?
All stolen. It’s why their tanks and armored vehicles are falling apart. They were never properly maintained. Those fuel stores that were reported full? All stolen and sold on the black market.
Combat rations for their illiterate conscript army? The good stuff was stolen. All that’s left is improperly stored garbage that’s a decade past its “best by” date.
And no one stopped it because literally everyone was in on it.
Communism may have technically fallen in Russia but the mindset of lies never left. All Putin has left is his nuclear weapons and I’ve got a dollar that says half of them at least would blow up in their silos. Of course it’s the other half we need to worry about.
