California Attorney General Rob Bonta announced on Thursday that Arizona, Indiana, Louisiana, and Utah would be added to the list of states that California halts state-sponsored travel to due to recent LGBT restriction laws.
Ever since AB 1887 was passed in 2016, California has prohibited state-funded and state-sponsored travel to states with discriminatory LGBT laws on the books. Until Friday, 18 states have had travel bans enacted, including Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Mississippi, Montana, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. Many lawsuits by several of the affected states challenging the travel bans have been knocked down in courts across the country, including the Texas lawsuit going all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2021 until they finally turned it down.
However, a flood of new laws in the first half of 2022 prompted Bonta to restart the bannings. Specifically, Bonta noted the number of new laws restricting transgender rights in the four states.

Good. Please put restrictions in place to stop your liberal voters from moving to these states too.
Not sure this will stop people from actually traveling from California to live somewhere else.
Oh man, why we haven’t been invaded by a foreign power yet simply amazes me.
This is virtue signaling political theater.
I doubt there is much state sanctioned business travel from California to some of these states. But he feels it’s important for him to make this political statement to show how he is so tolerant and inclusive about all this “LGBT” business.

I’m sure people in those states are devastated. Soon they will be begging their governors to lift these awful policies, so that California government employees can resume their frequent visits.
I live in Utah. I cannot express just how happy this makes me. Keep your disease ridden baby murderers, Kalifornia.
and please prohibit your citizens from moving to these awful terrible states.....and stop sending pension money to these citizens if they do move to the better states, er, I mean the awful states.

That’s so 20th Century! China owns many of our top politicians and many of our corporations, as well as a lot of farm land. They don’t need to invade.
