Frustrated Democrats mull drastic step: Challenging Biden in 2024

The chances that Biden could attract a primary challenger are rising amid devastating polling numbers with Democrats and particularly young voters.

His loyalists have defended him against the increasingly negative headlines. They say he stepped into a mess made by former President Trump and that some of the lawmakers in Congress who were supposed to help him turn things around have been difficult and disappointing.

But that willingness to prop up the sinking president has been wearing thin. Day by day, Democrats are considering a possible new scenario: challenging the sitting president for the 2024 nomination.

“Unless Biden comes to his senses and announces that he won’t run again, a contentious battle for the nomination seems very likely,” Normon Soloman, founder of the progressive network RootsAction, told The Hill.

If Kamala Harris resigns and there is no VP, the Senate is tied 50-50.

Now, I have moved on from the GOP, and I don’t believe they would block any Pelosi nominee - but if all 50 Republican Senators voted “no”, a Pelosi nominee could not be confrmed.

It’s his liberal agenda that’s his main problem

Biden has no agenda.

In that case, she would not have a VP. There is no penalty for a President without a VP.

Result: The Republic is completely screwed

The Republic no longer exists.

The crown of Liberty is lying in the gutter. The only remaining political question is, who will pick it up?

Does any serious person really think Biden is running in 2024?

Nope.

And anyone who posts an article or comment about it is just blocking the search for who or what is running the government.

My feeling is that the Obama team has sort of lost control of the Biden team, and he is starting to act like he's really in charge. But, the media is slowly releasing these hints that Biden's time is short. A few weeks ago, David Axelrod, who is the ultimate Obama spokesman, suggested Newsom is the guy.

All in all, they are taking it easy on Biden, as they think they can still save the Democrat party. But if the mid-terms are as bad as predicted, Biden will be thrown aside like a bucket of chum.
