I don’t think so. I’d bet Southern District of New York or something like that. If they bring him up on federal charges and he wins the Presidency anyway, then he’ll just pardon himself. So they have to make it a state prosecution, in a Democrat controlled state.

Problem is, the SC can just decline to hear any case that gets sent to it and kick it back to the lower court without a hearing. So if it’s some mess they don’t want to touch, then they don’t touch it.

What charges for arrest? No one anywhere is saying. All they do is imply Trump instigated the J6 protest. Gonna be difficult to prove that when he is on record of saying, “Those of you to decide to join the protest at the Capitol, please be peaceful and then go home.”

Any trial would have to be in a district that is related to the crime. That means NY is out. Florida would be a possibility because that is where the FBI found the top secret documents. The other possible location would be D.C. because that is where the documents were stolen from.
I don’t think the Feds can seat 12 people in Florida without getting an unwavering Trump supporter. I don’t think there are 12 people in D.C. that support Trump. The trial will be in D.C.
If it’s in DC, then it’s a miscalculation, since that would mean federal charges and Trump can just pardon himself if he wins reelection.
