Some of the documents seized by the FBI at Mar-a-Lago were protected by attorney-client privilege, according to a new report.
At least five of the boxes taken during the raid are said to have contained protected documents.
Fox News reports, “the former president’s team was informed that boxes labeled A-14, A-26, A-43, A-13, A-33, and a set of documents—all seen on the final page of the FBI’s property receipt —contained information covered by attorney-client privilege.”
The sources who spoke to Fox explained that the Justice Department also opposed Trump lawyers’ request for the appointment of an independent, special master to review the records.
During the raid, the Justice Department allegedly seized documents that were marked as classified, but former President Donald Trump maintains that they had been declassified while he was in office.

The purpose of the raid was because someone in the FBI “just knows” that Trump has done “something” that they can use to knock him out of the presidential race. The raid was a fishing expedition to find that something. The plan is, if they find something within the tainted documents, then they’ll be pointed to some untainted way to discover the same thing. This is why they don’t want independent review. Even if evidence is tainted and can’t be used in a legal court then it will “somehow” be leaked to the media and used in the court of public opinion. Using the public’s opinion has been successful in the past. I think whoever planned this has misread the public this time. Also, I don’t think there is anything to “find.” As they get more desperate, they’ll probably just make stuff up and leak that instead.

Their actions are those of someone who got 81 MILLION legitimate votes, their actions are those of someone who knowingly cheated their way into the White House.
That’s how you prove to a free country that your actions are fully legal and legit.

I am so tired of inaccurate reporting. The DOJ did not refuse. They opposed Trump's motion to the court to appoint a special master. It's a corrupt deepstate judge who gets to decide, not a corrupt deepstate AG.

The way the boxes are labeled indicates a complete inventory of the documents exists. It’s going to be interesting to see what corrupt SOBs try to do with what was seized. I also hope Trump had cameras with audio in every room. I know most people say there would be no cameras in personal areas, but remember, Trump has many homes so he may have recordings while he is out of town.
So the FBI overstepped their authority once again. You will not see this on the evening news.
