Utah teacher asks if white parents will accept classroom built for ‘non-white students’

A fourth-grade teacher in Utah took to social media earlier this month, questioning how the parents and students in a majority-white school would react to her classroom, which she said was “built for non-White students.”

“For the first time in my life, I’m going to be teaching at a majority-White school, and I’m kind of interested to see how students and parents react to my classroom, or if they even notice anything about it, because it’s built for non-White students,” said a teacher at William Penn Elementary near Salt Lake City, Utah.

The teacher explained that this was her first year teaching in a majority-white school, and said there are “no White kids represented” in many of the elements of her classroom, including the coloring pages she offers to students.

Not only is this racist, it demonstrates what teachers don’t think about. My children are grown and living successful lives. They were homeschooled. My number one reason for homeschooling was I wanted my kids to be able to critically think. I did not like the setup of government school classrooms. They were designed to manufacture semi-literate factory workers. Contrast that to the world being a classroom and the major teaching method being Socratic. Both of my girls are monsters in the workplace. They speak and write well - after thinking about what they will communicate. They ask killer questions, which I like to think comes from being taught with never ending questions. According to them, they have few contemporaries that can articulate.

Every place we went to was a classroom. When at home we rarely spend more than a couple hours per day on lessons, that is to say sitting down and having discussions. Everything was self paced. A lot of learning was driven by their personal interests. But there was no getting out of English, history, math and science.

My wife and I regularly explained the reasons for learning everything in the most concrete terms as possible, with a goal that no field of study would be unavailable to them when they went to college. Contrast that to what government teachers teach and kids wondering about the practical value of what is being forced upon them.

Europeans, in short, every person who sends kids to school
does it for one reason. They want the kid to be educated.

I’m seeing street videos of kids who don’t know that we
even have a capital. They don’t know Washington, D. C.
is it. They don’t know how many stars are on our flag.
They don’t know how many states we have. They don’t
know who Hitler was. They don’t know what nation we
declared independence from. They don’t know any
geographic information. They don’t know the most basic
bits of information from what one would consider to be
education.

Something like 5.00% of Black children graduate high
school proficient in math or English, in California.

When the fix comes, you can only guess who will have
come up with it. Why the education system of course.

The same folks that gave us six fixes before now, will
be cheered on for such amazing insight, just like they
were all six times before, that resulted in where we
are now.

I’ve said it a number of times. I’ll say it again now.

We need to close down our public schools for a year, and
do a complete makeover of the education system. When
kids return a year later, they will be taught the
information they need to be successful in life. They will
be taught the information they need to know about history
and what not to repeat.

They will be taught a healthy respect for what our nation
was intended to be.

Race, sexual identity, gender dysphoria, these are not
the topics that will be taught there.

All sex oriented counselors will have to find different
places to work. Social workers will have to find other
places to work.

Race baiters, will have to find other places to work.

I’ve considered the idea of denying any former teacher
access to working in our education system every again.
I’ve considered them being put on a registry and denied
any position ever again, that gives them authority over
children.

What they have put up with without complaining or going
out on strike, severely impacts my ability to see them
as anything but sexual predators, or the enablers of
them.

Don’t try to remind me of all the “good” teachers out
there. They were willing to allow us to get to this
place without even a hint of what was going on. CRT
was openly accepted without so much as a whimper.

I have no more patience with these people.

We have the worst K-12 public school system money can buy. America should have the best schools, but we never will as long as the teachers unions and Democrats are joined at the hip. It's an absolute sin that this continues.

The school is in Millcreek, not SLC. If it were, the libs would protect her with everything they've got.

The school itself is the Granite School District. That's Salt Lake City, Millcreek, Taylorsville, Magna, Kearns, West Valley City, Holladay, South Salt Lake and pieces of West Jordan, Cottonwood Heights, and Murray.

Kinda funny. My son's in the Granite School District and speaks four languages: English (well, as English as Utah can get), Spanish, Japanese, and Tongan. He wasn't taught these; in four years he picked them up from friends he goes to school with. So much for the whole "white wash" thing this idiot teacher is so all-fired worried about.
