President Joe Biden flashed annoyance at his Secret Service detail as they redirected him at the White House after an event on Monday.
The president and First Lady Jill Biden participated in a tree planting ceremony for White House groundskeeper Dale Haney to mark his 50 years of service.
After the event Biden began walking away in one direction before a Secret Service agent pointed him toward the opposite direction.
“Which way we going?” Biden asked.
“This way,” the agent replied.
“How about going the other way?” Biden responded.
“This way sir,” another agent added.
How about if I want to go that way?” Biden continued.
“You can go that way if you want,” the agent replied.

Secret Daycare Service
Forever ago, I shared an office with 2 others. One routinely used “irregardless”. My other co-worker and I came up with “disirregardlessly” and would use it as a real word in conversations with him. Lol. He never caught on that it was a joke.
He is getting a lot worse. Daily incidents. That next Covid Shot is likely to put him in a coma.
Very true, but my immigrant grandparents expected their American-born children to learn proper grammar, so when I was a kid (in the South, mind you), I was chastised by my mom for speaking differently than I wrote. I knew it wasn’t good grammar when I spoke with poor grammar, and she reinforced that her parents had to learn English as a second language. They were proud to become American citizens, and wanted all of us to speak grammatically correct English. I applaud them for that, and did the same with my own children.
It is just a peeve. There are plenty of issues to deal with that are more important. It’s just an indicator of the times we’re in.
I do have to wonder how many elementary school teachers encourage students to speak grammatically correct English? Or speak it themselves?

I would venture to guess it’s fewer and fewer every year. Teachers these days are more prone to teaching about “gender” fluidity than they are to teach our children how to read, write, or do arithmetic.
