Former President Donald Trump suggested the “termination” of the United States Constitution could be allowable in response to the bombshell report that the Democrat Party colluded with Twitter to suppress the Hunter Biden laptop story before the 2020 election.

The former president made his observation via his Truth Social account on Saturday following journalist Matt Taibbi’s thorough report on Twitter’s internal communications during the 2020 elections at the behest of newly-minted CEO Elon Musk.

Trump had zero control of the DOJ while he was President... He acted like he was scared that any use of his legal prerogatives would get him impeached.. and he behaved accordingly.

That declaration, although no force of law, was written in response towards a tyrannical government that may have been in fact, less tyrannical than the one in power today.

No he is not. He is warning against what happens (and has happened) when the aforementioned “massive fraud” is not halted. One cannot say that the administration installed by said fraud is not “allow(ing) for the termination of all rules, regulations and articles, even those found in the Constitution”—the only check on same so far has been the stilted efforts of the Supreme Court.

The “rules in the Constitution as they pertain to elections” were summarily ignored between November 2020 and January 2021. It is the Uniparty that terminated them; nowhere in what Trump said does he call for doing to them what the Uniparty did to them. Please re-read, and reinsert his mention of the Founding Fathers in context.

Anyone who doesn’t think the Democrats aren’t trying to terminate the constitution and replace it with progressive socialism is a fool. I’ll take Trump’s alternative any day.

Choosing between a party who wants to terminate the Constitution, and a man who calls for it, is a Hobson's Choice.

Trump never should even ALLUDE to cancelling the Constitution in any manner, any portion of it.

He's irreparably lost me with this sort of comment.

Upon closely reading the text, you could reasonably interpret it either way: That he was calling for the termination of the Constitution, or that the fraud caused the termination of the Constitution.

I'm very uncomfortable with ANY POSSIBILITY of the first interpretation. He should make it VERY CLEAR he was not calling for the termination of the Constitution, and he should have done it in the initial 'tweet'.
