2024 is Evolving into a Trump vs. Not-Trump Election
American Thinker ^ | 05/17/2023 | Steve McCann

Never in the two and a half centuries of American history has one person concurrently dominated and overshadowed both major political parties as does Donald J. Trump.

Trump’s dominance in the Republican Party is an outgrowth of his imperturbable and flamboyant personality, his unprecedented 2016 campaign and his overwhelmingly successful presidency which was derailed in its final months by the Covid-19 pandemic.

His stature in the party is such that virtually every Republican candidate for federal office seeks his approbation and endorsement.  Despite losing in 2020, his hold on a sizable segment of the Republican base is unparalleled in the annals of the Republican party.  Not since Franklin Roosevelt has someone so dominated a major American political party.  As it stands today, per all the national polls, Trump can easily win the Republican nomination for president.

Among 30% of Republican primary voters Trump has achieved cultlike status, as these voters claim they would vote for him if he ran as an independent even if that meant Joe Biden would be re-elected and the Democrats would regain control of both Houses of Congress.

Since 2016, the raison d’etre of the Democrat party and its hierarchy has been the unrestrained obsession to permanently defeat and dispatch Donald Trump. A fixation so all-consuming that the party leadership purposefully exploited the Covid-19 pandemic, thereby causing countless avoidable fatalities and senseless economic destruction. Further, they willingly entered into a de facto alliance with the American Marxists to defeat Trump. They are a vile faction whose stated goal is to transform the nation and overthrow this same Democrat Party hierarchy.

In 2024, the entirety of the Democrat Party’s electoral strategy revolves around Trump regardless of whom the Democrats nominate. Which is why a failed, senescent, stumbling and incompetent reprobate, Joe Biden, is being touted as their nominee.

That's the problem. Trump wins the nomination. The Democrats will mobilize their base to vote against Trump. Biden wins reelection.

The 2016 election was stolen from start to finish. The faux covid pandemic scare and unverified voting. Algorithms in google, facebook, etc, to deliberately mislead honest inquiry. Etc.

But, for those demented liberals who voted for pedo joe, they did so for the cause of "no more mean tweets."

And now, America in chaos and collapse, is the result. I wonder how liberals feel now that their grocery store dollar is only worth half what it was four years ago? I wonder how chicago blax feel now that their communities are being destroyed by illegals? Etc.

I’ll write his name in if I have to.
There is no one else.

When we have elections, the election can often be a referendum on the individuals involved, as opposed to people voting based on party platforms and positions on various issues.

2024 should be a referendum on the incumbent seeking re-election.

Though it looks like we will see two presidents, each with a record as president, going before the voters, seeking a 2nd term, based on their performance in their first terms.

Not always. I’d say the dem win in Jax was fueled by the bimbos who support abortion on demand along with a local issue, the corruption over the sale of the utility. A local wanna be senator from Florida and former news reader managed to cobble those two groups against the GOP candidates.

It’s not ideal. Part of the focus needs to be rescuing the county from Biden’s dumpster fire

My vote is for Donald J Trump. Any other vote is for the uni party made up of dems and rinos. My vote is America First, not to make crooked politicians rich and powerful. Of course there is the possibility of Biden getting reelected. But I intend to stay true to my values regardless. And don’t tell me that Mitch Mcconnell, Romney The Bushes, et all aren’t happy with Biden. They are very content with this destruction of the country as their wealth and power improve.

“That’s the problem. Trump wins the nomination. The Democrats will mobilize their base to vote against Trump. Biden wins reelection.”

That is my concern. The hate for Trump among the left and some in the middle is so strong, it will energize them to vote for the demented fool Biden.

You neglected to mention the hate some on the R team has for Trump.

A former Democrat billionaire embarrassed some R team royalty in showing what an America First/Swamp Last President can achieve..

It’s probably an inconvenient optic to the R team how the Bushes got so cozy with Clinton’s and Obama’s..

All those have been shown to be on the same team.

The Not-Trump team

“The hate for Trump among the left and some in the middle is so strong, it will energize them to vote for the demented fool Biden.”

Remember Carville’s wisdom. “It’s the economy, stupid.”

People vote based on emotions when all else is equal and they are comfortable. When they are in a recession, with rampant inflation, sky high bills and no end in sight, they put emotions aside and vote for the guy who they think will right the ship.

Trump wins the nomination. The Democrats will mobilize their base to vote against Trump. Biden wins reelection.

Democrats will mobilize their cheat-by-mail-in votes with no signature verification and simultaneously stop the counting in 5 states until these mail-ins can overtake Trump's legal total. Bin wins re-selection.

Fixed it for you.
