How To Solve Violence In The US? Remove Democrat Run Cities And Bring Back Asylums
Alt-market-US ^ | 6/2/23 | Brandon Smith

One of the most common strategies used by the political left to attack 2nd Amendment supporters is to ramp up the anti-gun hype every time a crime involving a gun is committed. They don’t care much about the tragedy itself, they only care about how they can use it for political gain. However, it’s very important to understand that this is not only about removing gun rights for leftists – It’s also about creating a false association in the public consciousness that guns = crime.

That is to say, they want to condition people to believe that once guns are gone, crime and murder will be gone also. But, firearms have been an integral part of American society for hundreds of years, and gun ownership has been present through times of relative peace as well as times of increased violence.

[snip]

So, if guns are not the catalyst for rising violence, then what is? In reality, the very people who want guns taken from the hands of law abiding Americans are the same people largely responsible for the spike in homicide rates. Imagine that…

In the US, violent crimes and murders are exponentially higher in Democrat run cities, many of them with increased gun control measures. In fact, of the top 30 most violent cities in the US, 27 of them are Democrat controlled. Wherever leftists dominate politically, violence, theft, rape and murder are sure to follow. Anti-gun proponents often try to cite high homicide numbers in certain conservative states like Texas, but the majority of those crimes are actually committed in cities run by leftists.

Take away patrol cars from cops and put police walking the streets beats coz crime is on the sidewalks not inside patrol cars. Any third grader can figure this one out but law enforcement appears to be dumber than a 3Rd grader.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver started the Special Olympics in 1968 almost as a public penance for her family’s treatment of her sister, Rosemarie.

Whether she realized it or not, the American hating left glommed on to her vision and like all leftist positions, metasticized.

Preaching to the wrong person kiddo I’ve been a non believer since I was like 10 years old...

I believe the good book has its place in society, for it’s a good moral compass. But it’s own houses don’t even follow it!! And the fact that NO ONE has been struck down for their actions, keeps me a non believer... Just saying...

I’ve been saying for years that the closing of asylums in the 70s was a mistake. Sooner or later people will wake up to this.

Three pronged approach:

1. Put drug users in jail for a real sentence...not just the weekend and then they are released.

2. Put the mentally ill in mental hospitals. Having them on the streets or in homeless camps is inhumane as they need proper medication and care.

3. For the truly indigent that do not fit in either category 1 or 2 bring back poor farms. They were common and worked quite well in the late 19th century.

Many of us knew it was a mistake. The local hospital in my area that had an entire floor dedicated to the long-term care of mental patients had a reputation for excellent results. Many of the patients were eventually able to move to group homes although some remained institutionalized because they could not take care of themselves and if unsupervised would not take their medications, return to drug use, and become a risk to themselves and others. We need to bring back such institutions.

Remove Democrat Run Cities

That would be the upside to an all-out nuclear war with the Russkies.

I’ve been saying for years that the closing of asylums in the 70s was a mistake. Sooner or later people will wake up to this.

The late Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan agreed: "Defining Deviancy Down" (1993)

This began with the Community Mental Health Act of 1963. When the bill was passed by Congress and signed into law by Kennedy in 1963 the promise was for 2000 community mental health centers. Only a few hundred were actually built and the few that were built were converted to other purposes by 1981. The mentally ill were deinstitutionalized to live on the streets and fend for themselves.

There is no problem that politicians can not make worse, and the problems that they create live on long after they die. And there are few if any politicians who will ever admit to a mistake.

That's in the Book; too...

1 Timothy 5:24 KJV

Some men's sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.

And...

2 Peter 3:9 niv

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

once upon a time I read the old testament. the words basically... “Kill them, their families and all their livestock as well.”

...just imagine a world of peace if these words were adhered to in this era...
