MSNBC contributor Claire McCaskill said Tuesday on “Deadline” that she found it “incredibly depressing” that so many Americans have been “fooled” by former President Donald Trump.

Discussing President Joe Biden’s campaign, McCaskill said, “I think he’s trying to do what Liz Cheney did with the January 6 Committee, and that is to escape the drip, drip, drip of depressing facts about what has happened in America and elevate the conversation to something much bigger, much broader, much more important, and that’s our values.”

I guess I was fooled into thinking that gas was $2.09 a gallon...that milk was $1.99 a gallon...that inflation was 1.5%...that the southern border was sealed tight...that North Korea wasn’t firing missiles toward Guam...that Iran’s nuclear program was shut down...that Russia wasn’t invading smaller neighbors...and that black unemployment was at the lowest level since official tracking began.

Years ago, I read that Dole won every precinct in the '88 New Hampshire primary where the people counted the votes. Bush won everywhere the newfangled computers counted the votes. I never got any hard data, but it sounds right considering that all of the pollsters had Dole pulling away from Bush. Things just got worse in our elections from there. Never trust a Sununu.
