“same-sex couples if they don’t resemble marriage”

Like two men or two women become business partners?

Sure. But everyone knows what this is about: Sex. Should a homosexual couple get a Christian blessing because they don’t go so far as to call their relationship a marriage? Maybe it is better that they aren’t fighting to be recognized by society as a married couple, but that does not make their relationship Christian or sanctioned by God.

Adds a new meaning to the question of whether the Pope is Catholic.

Well this provides a definitive answer to the iconic question, “Is the Pope Catholic!” There have been competing Popes and what history refers to as “anti-Popes” in the past and The Church had managed to get beyond those times somehow. I don’t know the details, but suspect the process seemed messy at the time. Oddly enough when Benedict resigned to become Pope Emeritus it was noted that the last time THAT had happened competing or anti-Popes resulted. Since Francis is so fond of non-Christian religious practices someone should enlighten him about the Shinto tradition of Seppuku as an efficient path to Dante’s lower circles. Which if he, and his fellow travelers in the College of Cardinals, would follow could be the least messy solution.

If the pope values consistency, he should allow the blessing of couples who engage in same-sex fornication, as long as the blessings are not made to look like wedding ceremonies. After that, there are the blessings of threesomes, minor-attracted persons (MAPs) with children, and so on. Who knows? Someday soon, maybe in our lifetimes, we may see a new sacrament: abortion.

Not any more, huh?

Well, the Pop is now supporting pervert marriage and is sympathetic to Hamas.

I refuse to participate in a religious group that isn’t or will not follow biblical theology.

However, to bless homosexual couples is to bless the sinful act of sodomy.

What about homosexuals who are not sodomizing? There are lots of heterosexual couples who do not copulate.

Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

841 The Church’s relationship with the Muslims. “The plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator, in the first place amongst whom are the Muslims; these profess to hold the faith of Abraham, and together with us they adore the one, merciful God, mankind’s judge on the last day.”330

842 The Church’s bond with non-Christian religions is in the first place the common origin and end of the human race:

All nations form but one community. This is so because all stem from the one stock which God created to people the entire earth, and also because all share a common destiny, namely God. His providence, evident goodness, and saving designs extend to all against the day when the elect are gathered together in the holy city. . .331

843 The Catholic Church recognizes in other religions that search, among shadows and images, for the God who is unknown yet near since he gives life and breath and all things and wants all men to be saved. Thus, the Church considers all goodness and truth found in these religions as “a preparation for the Gospel and given by him who enlightens all men that they may at length have life.”332

Joh 8:24 I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.

Maybe - it is the sinful act that should never be blessed, but then, who am I??? I would just pass the decision on to a higher authority (not the Pope of Arch-bishop), the one who judges, the keeper of the gate.
