Former President Donald Trump has been asking allies and advisers for their thoughts about Nikki Haley as a potential vice presidential candidate, two sources familiar with the conversations tell CBS News.
The feedback from the MAGA crowd regarding putting Haley on the ticket if Trump wins the GOP nomination has been overwhelmingly negative, according to these GOP sources. Politico first reported that Trump allies are working to quash the possibility of a Trump-Haley ticket.

I don’t want her because she is a two faced RINO. This citizenship crap is getting really old. Whether true or not nobody cared about Obama and won’t care about Haley. It is a total waste to bring it up.
I picture him with a group of hunters. Hunting for foxes. On horseback. Competitively. The scout dogs of the opposing team are hot on the trail. Trump rides up gets their attention. He has a jar of fish. Herrings. Red herrings. He reaches in, flings one - names it ‘bird brain- flings it off to the side down a trail.

Trump won’t pick her but I wouldn’t rule out Trump generated fake news just to get headlines. Then his base would react favorably later when he didn’t pick her.

There is, unfortunately, a pragmatism that attends to these things. When you have a conscience, the interplay between absolutes and reality in a fallen world can be stressful. The fallen world includes a lack of clear thinking.
These days there is so much knee jerk commentary as to be a shade irritable. That’s okay. I’ll wait and see.
I am thinking more and more that General Flynn is his best choice. He knows it all.
