I don’t think so. She’s got a cushy job making lots of money. Most people would be so humiliated doing what she did, they’d slink off somewhere. But she’s made herself a false victim of racism along with Harvard seeing her as a victim. She perversely has the last laugh.
She’s too high profile but I worked from 1969-2017 at two universities and saw a number of recycled presidents come and go. One was a woman who was a spitefully angry alcoholic. Another couple resigned under serious legal allegations.
Little known secret outside academia: If one university or college can barely stand to have their leader stay they give them a glowing sendoff to another one that welcomes the new leader until that one moves on to give problems to the next place. Goes on and on.
I’d like a shot at that Harvard Pres. job. I don’t know much about plagiarism but I bet I could learn to do it as good as she did. And I wouldn’t give any antisemitism testimony. My lips are sealed. White males are probably in the minority at that woke University so I should get some of that Affirmative Action points in my favor.
My “Give a damn” meter seems to be broken. Not moving at all!
Ms. Gay should have her plagiarism-loaded PhD revoked, and be totally fired from any position at Harvard!
Her blaming “racism” in her resignation letter is intolerable!
Harvard students must be shown that there can be no tolerance for plagiarism, falsified data analysis, and for crying “racism” when one is justly called our for serious violations of scholarly integrity!
Antisemitism, anti-Christianity, and censoring of free speech with “DEI” are also intolerable!!
But note Jews make up less than 10% of undergrads at Harvard. Victor Davis Hanson says the goal is get the percentage of Jews at Harvard down to their percentage of the US population, around 2%. A few decades ago the percentage was over 20.
Grad schools at Harvard are more than half Jewish. Grad school in things like law and medicine are very expensive and still very competitive.

Back in grandpa’s day, that approach was called fence sitting and was, I would think, rather uncomfortable. Now it’s relativism and comfort is the whole point of it.
Lawyer offices tend to do that too. As do churches with problem ministers.

The real story is not that she resigned, but that Harvard did not fire her.
She blames racism and everyone but herself for having to leave——but she will remain a faculty member at Harvard.
How was she forced to plagiarize over 50 separate times?
It actually reminds me of the Court TV show last night of the man who deliberately plowed into pedestrians at the Waukesha Christmas parade in 2021. In court he blamed everyone else and said God for some unknown reason is punishing him by being on trial with all these people criticizing him. No personal responsibility at all. 6 dead and 62 injured.

What about her colleagues who supposedly did peer reviews of her papers? They have some things to answer for as well.
