> Hannity is an A$$ and ruined the PA senate race with his crap about Barnett. <

Yes, indeed. Trump’s endorsement of Dr. Oz didn’t help either. If you had to design a candidate who was all wrong for Pennsylvania, you would design a Dr. Oz.

Barnett was unpolished, and an underdog. In a good way, she reminded me of Sarah Palin. Barnett was the best bet for the Pennsylvania GOP. Folks like her could really help to expand the Republican Party.

But no. Hannity and Trump decided to go with a Hollywood pretty boy instead.

Stargell’s first name IS Wilver

Autocorrect might have struck again. I think you meant the great Pittsburgh Pirate Willie Stargell. Whenever Stargell hit a home run, anyone who happened to be in his restaurant at the time got a free chicken dinner.

I think he may be channeling Howard Cosell. It is, in fact, the late Wilver Dornell Stargell, aka Willie. LoL

President Trump has nothing to apologize for.

Nominating Christopher Wray, Bill Barr, Jeff Sessions, John Bolton?

Giving Fauci a Presidential Commendation?

Telling the public that "The vaccine is one of the greatest achievements of mankind."

"I came up with a vaccine, with three vaccines all are very, very good.” Trump

Apologize for some of the personal attacks; not so much apologize but to show some humbleness and appreciation to those whom he may have offended but who nevertheless stuck by him and endorsed him. Show more of his human side.

Trump has a beautiful family, they are all very smart and it’s clear to me he loves them and they love him. But it doesn’t always translate. That’s partly his fault but mostly the fault of the media who just want to slander him and everyone associated with him. They attack his family just to spite him.

Trump has plenty of room to just show more of his human side. I know he’s on the defensive. And I know his humor is very often twisted by the media but we’re all human and we all sometimes make mistakes. Like not firing Fauci. :-) And not firing the entire line-up of Attorney Generals. Clinton did it on his first day in office. Trump could do it too. In retrospect he should have. Lol but that was not what Dennis was saying. Dennis was saying Trump could disarm some of his critics and skeptics with a little more humility and displays of gratitude. Where Dennis was wrong, imho, is thinking that everyone “knows” Trump loves America. That should be obvious but to the left they just don’t believe it or have a completely different view of love, or of America. I don’t get their hatred and their BS about “democracy is on the line”. Trump Derangement is a real mental illness and Trump could break some of that cognitive dissonance with a slight change in tactics and approach.

I just looked it up. By golly, you’re right. Back in the old days, I spent quite a few years in Pittsburgh. And I listened to a lot of Pirate baseball on the radio. And I never once heard the name “Wilver”.

So I do not blame myself. I blame KDKA radio for leading me astray.

Never apologize! It’s a sign of weakness.

Yes, but we need to win. It’s easier to win when you can disarm your opponents.

I see a genuine, warranted apology as a sign of strength.

The people who need to apologize are the leftist politicians, the leftist base that votes for them, the establishment RINOs, and the limp-wristed marginal “conservative” voters, all of whom are collectively responsible for our country descending into hell. We are in a literal war for the survival of our nation, and some people are still fretting about Trump being “mean” to a former candidate’s wife, or for saying other things that hurt the marginal conservatives’ feelings? GET OVER IT!

George Patton pissed off some people, too, with his abrasiveness, but we wouldn’t have won the war in Europe without him. Our culture has gotten so pathetically weak that some days I’m not sure it even deserves to continue to exist. How the ChiComs haven’t already marched in and taken over while we were sitting around navel-gazing is a mystery to me.

Trump is facing over 800 years in prison if all of the charges against him were to be guilty convictions, and here you are wanting to put daisies in the barrels of the prosecutor’s rifles. smh

Patton was a genius. But here’s the thing. Patton had Eisenhower to run interference for him. There is no one to run interference for Trump.

I have often said that Trump is a mix of Patton and Reagan. And I wish Trump had a bit more Reagan in him, and a bit less Patton. But this is just a theoretical musing. Trump is what he is. And he’s our country’s best hope by far.

Many players have had nicknames or short versions of their given name.

How many people know about Harold Reese? He was better known as Pee Wee Reese.

How about Edwin Snider? Better known as Duke Snider.
