Sen. Cornyn to Haley: End Your Campaign, Time for GOP to Unite Behind Trump
Breitbart ^ | 01/23/2024 | Bradley Jaye

Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX) endorsed Donald Trump for president moments after the New Hampshire primary was called within minutes of polls closing.

“I have seen enough,” Cornyn said on X. “To beat Biden, Republicans need to unite around a single candidate, and it’s clear that President Trump is Republican voters’ choice.”

A majority of Senate Republicans have now endorsed Trump, but Sen. John Barrasso (R-WY) had been the only senior member of Senate GOP leadership to endorse the former president’s reelection bid before Tuesday night.

It’s all pretend for Cornyn.

It's all pretend for most politicians. Maybe not all, but definitely most.

a tsunami of endorsements like this is on the way to close the ranks around the presumptive nominee because it’s the only thing that can save the GOP, and the smart Republican politicians and the ones with the most to lose know that ...

within days, Haley will find herself completely ostracized by the party power structure, and her only allies besides Democrats will be other castoffs, outsiders and anti-Trumpers like george conway, bill kristal, chris christie, adam kinzinger, liz cheney and the like ...

nonetheless, i suspect haley will persist as long as her money holds out because she’s too stupid, egotistical and/or arrogant to realize that she’ll become one of the biggest political pariahs in modern U.S. politics ...

This just might be the only intelligent and conservative thing I have ever heard come out of John Cornyn’s rat-compromised mouthl

Mr. Bravery has stuck his finger in the wind and detected the tornado.

Yes but when an establishment RINO tells you it's time to pack it in, that's got to sting a little.

Haley, in her "concession" speech, came across to me as delusional at best and at worst completely controlled by big money types that want to hurt our chances in the general election.

The only good part is the longer she stays in the more she hurts her brand within the Republican Party. Perhaps we will never have to deal with her again if she keeps this up.

Cornyn sorta knows which way the winds are blowing.

Tornado winds make it easier for him.

Lol.

I think she will stay on until Super Tuesday. I remember in 2000 Alan Keyes stayed on until the primaries were over, even when the numbers were unbeatable. She is not going to do that. I think she has a calculated move for 2028.
