Eagle Pass is today’s Fort Sumter. Biden must federalize the Texas National Guard.

The high-stakes game of Texas Hold ’em taking place on the banks of the Rio Grande between the tin soldiers of that state’s Republican Gov. Greg Abbott and U.S. Border Patrol has reached a tension level that some writers and online pundits have compared to the standoff at Fort Sumter, the South Carolina outpost where the first shots of the Civil War were fired in 1861.

Tin Soldiers?

We are a band of brothers and native to the soil

Fighting for the property we gained by honest toil

And when our rights were threatened, the cry rose near and far

Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star Hurrah! Hurrah!

For Southern rights, hurrah!

Hurrah for the Bonnie Blue Flag that bears a single star

I don’t see any comparison to Fort Sumpter.

None.

There are lots of armed citizens who would be glad to help Abbott out.

Barack Obama via Joe Biden Gives an Ultimatum to Greg Abbott

I'm hoping that Eagle Pass, TX will be Obama's Armageddon.

What states could do is to limit new house size to say no more than 1600 square feet (and 2500 square feet on parcels of more than an acre). This would curtail invader employment and hit remittances hard.

It could all be done in the name of ‘affordable housing’.

I thought it was the Texas State Guard at Eagle Pass, not the National Guard. Does the Philly paper want to pit the National Guard against Texas? Seems like they are the ones who want to raise tensions even more...

Biden will go down in history as the WORST, most destructive President in history.

He will be seen as the corrupt, demented, sexually perverted puppet he is.

At about 21,000 Texas has the largest membership of national guard of any other state. However, they are all native Texans. How many of them do you think will follow orders to bear arms against their own state and brethren?

Also, Texas has the Texas Rangers, DPS, Texas State Guard, Texas State militia, and about a dozen other militia groups whose ranks will certainly grow from those who would leave the National Guard If Biden were to pull such a stunt.

The border patrol has shown it “vill follow zee orrrderrrrrs”. Screw them,

I think that they are actually engaging in passive-aggressive "malicious compliance" and just letting Texas recycle the wire right back into barricades after exerting minimal effort to move the wire.

“Biden must federalize the Texas National Guard.”

All it would take to stop that crap? If Governor Abbott ask for help at the border? Trust me, there would be an instant citizen militia. There are already groups there doing exactly that. They have been in touch with DPS and the TX National Guard and the Texas Military Department.

We are about the see a gathering in at least 3 states. Not large numbers, but a presence.

The author:

"Will Bunch
I'm the national columnist — with some strong opinions about what's happening in America around social injustice, income inequality and the government"

An indication that the article can go in the trash.
If I may go so far as to say: people like this guy, who side with the invasion, are enemies of the United States.

So it begins! Their marching orders have been given! There is only one way to fight this situation. We have to have cooler heads and smarts ….optics win more wars than an actual beat down. The FJB administration is itching for something big to break on the border with these two units. But the majority of Americans are fed up and are sick and tired of having our nation invaded “. Optics is what’s going to undo the left and their agenda! I would rather be there videotaping the FJB administration cutting the wire repeatedly and showing the National Guard reinforcing more wire. Optics is everything in this era where you have social media …which has a bigger audience than the mainstream mediapukes! Fight them with a cell phone!
