King Charles has been diagnosed with a form of cancer, says Buckingham Palace.
It is not prostate cancer, but was discovered during his recent treatment for an enlarged prostate.
The type of cancer has not been revealed, but according to a palace statement the King began "regular treatments" on Monday.
Buckingham Palace says the King "remains wholly positive about his treatment and looks forward to returning to full public duty as soon as possible".

My mother-in-law had Non-Hodgekins Lymphoma. I just lost a niece to neuroendocrine cancer, she was 52. Damn I hate that disease.

My wife of 60 year had a rare form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. She lasted 10 months before succumbing to this illness. Man, I sure do miss her.

Poor Charles here he dutifully waited his entire life to become king. Now, just as he is taking the throne, he is now being diagnosed with cancer of some description probably prostate cancer. It’s possible he is going to have to think about the best course of action for him and his country. In someways, I believe he is actually even more pathetic than Edward the seventh.
