MSNBC host Joy Reid lamented that black Americans have not received sufficient reparations for “literally, physically” building this country, believing that former President Barack Obama’s eight-year tenure is the best they will get.
Reid issued her comments during an interview on Salon Talks with writer Dean Obeidallah wherein she said that black people “literally, physically, built this country” and therefore deserve much more than a two-term black president.

There were thousands of blacks who owned slaves. They even owned large plantations. There were 3,000 blacks who owned slaves in just New Orleans. But it was blacks who sold their fellow blacks into slavery.
Not true, many ethnicities participated in that endeavor, your tunnel vision allows you to only see the one, but that is just not the entire truth.

There it is. The real cause of secession. The slave states were falling behind the free states in every way and they knew it. They knew that eventually the free states were going to get such a large majority that they could vote slavery out. This “we built America” claim is nonsense.

She’s a racist and a narcissist. Obama did little for black people and set back race relations in the US by more than 50 years. This nation was built by a large number of people of different nationalities and race. To say blacks literally and physically built America is beyond absurd.
