“30 states are willing to use banana republic dirty tactics to destroy the candidate leading the nomination race in the other side.”

I think the number of outlaw states was 3. The 30 references the number of states where democrats had known conspiracies active.

“Unanimously voted…. Given the court has liberals on it, this is a very strong message.”

Yes, it’s what many were hoping for.

That’s the first I had heard THIRTY states were planning to use some form of that tactic. I wonder if that is accurate. We knew about Colorado and Maine and maybe one or two others.

Just for the heck of it, I turned on MSNBC to see how they were reporting this story. Of course, they are appalled that the court ruled the way they did.

"In my judgment, this is not the time to amplify disagreement with stridency. The Court has settled a politically charged issue in the volatile season of a Presidential election. Particularly in this circumstance, writings on the Court should turn the national temperature down, not up," Barrett wrote.

Leave it to a woman on the court to inject emotion and "feelings" into a purely LEGAL issue, as they all are. I couldn't care less if this induces stridency and volatile feelings. It's what the CONSTITUTION says that matters, feelings be damned!!!

I'm less and less impressed with her as time passes.

It’s clear that the left wants to make the presumption of guilt the default position for anyone that opposes them.
Talk about threats to “democracy”.
What people really care about when you get down to it is threats to is constitutional, individual rights.
True, many just want entitlements and will do anything to support the entitlement party. But if your basic civil rights are threatened, as far as entitlements are concerned, all you’ll get is what the government will give you in prison.

RE: didn’t get news of other states attempts....

The national media want to shape the plot just right.
This story was only big within Michigan, probably:

Michigan Supreme Court rejects bid to take Trump off ballot....
Dec 27, 2023 — The Michigan Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected an attempt to remove former President Trump from the state’s primary ballot under the 14th Amendment.

Note: This was just in time so I could vote for Trump in the primary, along with many other good people.

I love fireworks.

O’er the ramparts we watch’d were so gallantly streaming.
And the rocket’s red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there,
O say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

More importantly considering this -

A majority of the justices held that only Congress – and not the states – can enforce Section 3 of the 14th Amendment, which was enacted in the wake of the Civil War to disqualify individuals from holding office who had previously served in the federal or state government before the war but then supported the Confederacy, against candidates for federal offices.

- 30 states admitted that they are at war with the rest of us.
