A St. Louis television station is under fire after an anchor “mistakenly” described minority homeowners using an “outdated, offensive and racist” term.
Television station KMOV issued an apology for using the term on Feb. 26 while previewing a story about racial bias on home appraisals, according to reports.
“Tonight, colored homeowners are sounding the alarm when it comes to undervalued home appraisals,” anchor Cory Stark, who is white, said on air.
JD Sosnoff, KMOV vice president and general manager, and Stark tried to do damage control over the apparent slip-up as criticism grew over the cringe remark.
“It was in an original script as ‘homeowners of color’ and was inadvertently changed and mistakenly read on air,” Sosnoff said, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Kind of like the difference between “blue jeans” and “jeans of blue.”
The way the left paints race onto everything, “colored” is probably more accurate than “of color”
Don’t forget he called ll cool j “boy” as well...
Why is ‘People of Color’ acceptable (this era) but ‘Colored People’ is not?....................
Black comedian said once (paraphrasing)
You all, call us colored? You are the ones born pink, who tan brown, get sunburned red, turn blue with envy, green with jealousy, turn blue when you are cold, then turn gray when you are old. We are born black, live black, and die black- I’d say it’s you folks who are colored”
Gotta love how the story quotes someone from the NAACP, an organization with “colored” in its name.
Colored people=outdated racial slur
People of color=dignified
I am getting so tired of stupid. Remind me, what do the letters in NAACP stand for?
"The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is a civil rights organization in the United States, formed in 1909 as an interracial endeavor to advance justice for African Americans by a group including W. E. B. Du Bois, Mary White Ovington, Moorfield Storey, and Ida B. Wells. Over the years, leaders of the organization have included Thurgood Marshall and Roy Wilkins."
So what is it then? Colored people offended by calling colored people "colored people?" And of course liberals who want to protest the latest trend of the day....
A French conductor decades back, touring with an orchestra, was going into a "coloreds only" bathroom in the South, when someone tried to stop him. His response (colored, of course):
"Mais, je suis rose."
Never met an actual "white" person. Even clinical albinos have a "color." And of course all "persons of color" have color. For having worked in our garden a lot, in the moment I am quite "tan."
I have always wondered why “people of color” is an acceptable term while “colored people” is an evil racial slur. They mean the same thing, and “colored people,” having fewer syllables, is easier to say.
NAACP=National Association of Athletics College/Pro
How niggardly!
The use of that term is one reason I don’t give money to the NAACP; yes, I’m offended.
I’d rather give to the diverse and inclusive United Negro College Fund.
I gotta stop asking “how stupid can people get”... They are taking it as a challenge...
Fat people: offensive
People of fat: dignified
“People of Color” is currently en vogue.
If we’re supposed to know what words get us fired and which don’t, then someone must publish an official guide book which lists the words that get you fired. This guide must be online and updated hourly.

I’m joking. Instead of a guide, how about not caring about words that are spoken but instead caring about actions?
Don’t ever let someone tell you that the left doesn’t have their own strict blasphemy code.
