Heat record broken for ninth-straight month
The Hill ^ | 03/07/2024 | LAUREN IRWIN

Last month was the planet’s warmest February on record and the ninth-straight month of record-breaking temperatures, according to data released Thursday.

February was more than 1.7 degrees Celsius warmer than an average February in pre-industrial times, reported Copernicus, the European Union’s climate monitoring service.

The average global surface air temperature during the month was 13.54 degrees Celsius — or about 56 degrees Fahrenheit — and beats the previous warmest February, which was recorded in 2016.

The month was also part of a record-warm twelve-month period, according to the service, which reported that “the global-average temperature for the past twelve months is the highest on record, at 0.68 degrees Celsius above the 1991-2020 average.”

Highest on record. Ok. Well maybe there are cycles they want ignorant liberal media watchers to have the impression there has been records going back thousands of years. There haven’t been records even in hundreds of years

At a funeral last month for a really old but very popular family member I had to hear snide remarks from the New Yorkers some of the New Yorkers are more conservative and pro Trump than the Texans around her but I digress. These generational democrats hooked on morning Joe, 60 minutes, maddow I do not debate them. They are ignorant

But one of them said the deceased was so amazing for having been a Republican and still being very aware of ecological issues. He was an avid recycler, composter, gardener

I said well conservatives are ecologically aware and are good stewards of the earth. We Catholics have it in our tenet/catechism to be good stewards of the earth

Conservatism and conservation come from the same word same philosophy

That the liberals want to take the issue and demonize conservatives

Thy are so mentally ill. They have to blame and hate. I hav always been a conservationist but I won’t take the blame for a warming cycle if there is one whether I’m a conservationist or not because as a scientist and at least someone with common sense who deserves as an American to be treated by my country with dignity I have seen zero proof only theories that global warming is man made

Bump. Funny

That’s nice. We have eight foot deep drifts of global warming all over our place right now.

I love it.

Motorcycle season has started early and I've been able to open the windows and get some fresh air moving around the house. My natural gas bill was over $40 lower compared to last year.

Keep it coming.

They must not have any temperature sensors where I live in Alaska. Darn cold this past Jan and Feb. I’ve been told it was record lows but have not checked.

1. More rain is not a problem.
2. Warmer weather is not a problem.
3. More arable land is not a problem.
4. Longer growing seasons is not a problem.
5. CO2 greening of the earth is not a problem.
6. There isn’t any Climate Crisis.

--- "....planet’s warmest February on record" was measured using the giant, planet-sized rectal thermometer.

It was inserted into some model....

Intelligent people may agree that global temperatures are rising.

Where the intelligent people part ways with the others, is when they put forth man-caused CO2 levels as the culprit and demand that we destroy our economy and way of life to combat it by reducing CO2 levels.

We have several Freepers who wonder why the Leftists never answer the astute question:

“What temperature SHOULD the globe be?”

Here in my part of Florida it was the coldest February I’ve ever experienced in the area.

The rain has been far heavier too. The summer was the driest in my memory.

“What temperature SHOULD the globe be?”

Cold enough so Obama’s oceanfront properties don’t get flooded.

See Weatherbell.com— Joe Bastardi explains the sort of warm February.. quite well in last Saturday’s freebie. It is NOT due to globull warming, and there is headed a seriously late cold wave down from oscillating polar upper air currents. These are ALL known to the climate change kooks— climate changes and we are headed for many cold winters ahead, having nothing to do with mankind other than freezing our a@@es off.

Holders of energy sources will make a fortune and that is the Goldman Sachs original commodity chair in Chi-towns, plan. The one they shut down, and re-invented in their portfolio for whom John Kerry shills.

Maybe they ought to move their sensors a little further away from the urban heat-islands and blast furnaces where they have them placed? Or do they just ‘normalize’ (add Finnegan’s finagling factor) to the data they record to get the result they want.
