And that's not taking into account that blacks are vastly outnumbered. They comprise 13% of the population which is being outnumbered about 7:1.

Power and underlying grudge can lead to genocide. Words alone cannot. Some blacks hate whites. Even if 100% did, they are only 12% of the population. Going back before Martin Luther’s Reformation, Germans have always had a diamond hard spot in their hearts for Jews. That, not words per se, led to the Holocaust.

Luther launched a polemic against vagrants in his 1528 preface to Liber Vagatorum, saying that the Jews had contributed Hebrew words as a main basis of the Rotwelsch cryptolect. He warned in the admonitory preface Christians not to give them alms as it was, in his opinion, to forsake the truly poor.[232][233]

I wonder if the real purpose is provoking whites to say/do racist stuff in response, so it can then be echoed ad nauseam (with a side “benefit” of helping little minds see racism everywhere).

Some groups might even “invest” in such a film as a political expense, not caring if it failed economically. A recent SCOTUS revolved around government manipulation of information to “help” the public.

On the other hand, it’s billed as a satire, so maybe the whole concept is meant to be a howler.

RE: Wizard of Oz.

I happened to be watching the Merv Griffin Show (live show) in the late 1970s. His staff didn’t properly brief him and he innocently talked with some actors who told him they were part of an all black remake of the Wizard of Oz to be called The Wiz.

Griffin looked ashen and then angry. “No, no. You can’t do that. You’ll be ruining a classic. There’s no movie improvement you could make on the Wizard of Oz. You can’t be allowed to do this.” He was serious.

After commercials he had calmed down and tried to tolerate it, grudgingly but didn’t end with “so, folks get your tickets for this brand new movie” as usual.
