The U.S. has submitted a resolution at the United Nations that calls for an immediate cease-fire in Gaza and the release of all hostages held by Hamas, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said.
Blinken said in an interview Wednesday with an outlet in Saudi Arabia that the U.S. put forward a resolution that calls for an immediate cease-fire tied to a release of hostages. Hamas is believed to be holding some 100 hostages still alive in Gaza.
“We hope very much that countries will support that,” Blinken said. “I think that would send a strong message, a strong signal.”
A draft resolution for the U.S. proposal was first circulated last month, around the time when Washington vetoed a U.N. Security Council call for an immediate cease-fire without any conditions.

Every time the muslims are getting their assets kicked, we need a cease fire.

A week or so ago, a Hamas spokesman said they really have no idea how many are still alive because not all of them are held by Hamas, but by proxies and other groups. They may all be dead by now.......................

Biden is worried about losing swing-state Michigan because of the muslim population there, but at the expense of the other 6 swing states. Perhaps he knows its hurting him where muslim populations are insignificant, but orders from OB’s headquarters must be obeyed.

During the early days of WW 2 the United States was neutral. Funny, but I don’t recall FDR demanding that Britain stop fighting Nazi Germany.

The UN resolution is for unconditional "ceasefire" (surrender).
I suppose if Israel does not comply, this will "legitimize" US military action? As it might be Iraq in the first Gulf War?
