Barely six months into the job, House Speaker Mike Johnson is already at risk of the same conservative revolt that took down his predecessor.
The Louisiana Republican, who only took the gavel in October after weeks of GOP infighting, was put on “warning” by one of his harshest critics Friday after he helped push through a $1.2 trillion spending package with majority Democratic votes despite heavy criticism from his right flank.
During the vote, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., filed a resolution with the House clerk — called a motion to vacate — that would remove Johnson from office if approved by the House. And while Greene did not force the resolution to be taken up immediately, she told reporters she was laying the groundwork for consideration once the House returns from recess in two weeks.
“It’s more of a warning,” Greene said. She would not commit to a timeline for calling a vote, but added, “We’ve started the clock to start the process to elect a new speaker.”

Bad idea.
People like you will believe anything the commie propaganda push, that is why you make good cannon fodder, never question the prevailing orthodoxy
Johnson should reflect on his failures and resign when he returns from the latest break. He sold out Republicans, totally failed to wield the power of the purse. Got absolutely nothing for our border security as one example. I’m sure we will be reading over the coming week all of the wasted and pro-Democrat spending he just signed off on and pushed through the House.
We have been Israel’s ally and protector for nearly 80 years. Abandoning them would be evil.
It’s Not MTG that wants Mike Johnson removed, it’s the GOP base that wants him removed. We are tired of serial betrayals.
you mean the U.S should be supporting a LEFT wing country that has allowed China to run its largest port?
A country whose LEFT/Commie unelected Supreme court has the power to abrogate any law passed by a dully elected parliament?
The GOP majority in the House is too thin to do anything except go with the flow until November, kick the can down the road and keep the dems from stealing the House through their usual chicanery.
November is D-Day for America. If Trump loses, America as a free country is gone, probably forever.
Best case scenario? He's way over his head. Worst case scenario? He's corrupt.
Hew addresses just that in his most recent podcast. Go to about 7:20 in the video for the pertinent part.

The long and short of it is that he’s not as convinced as he was when they challenged McCarthy’s speakership, that it won’t backfire. He’s critical of Johnson and the House members who voted for the bill, but worries that with such a slim majority, they might end up with a Democrat Speaker. He contrasts the current situation with the situation when McCarthy was unseated and feels there’s greater risk this time.
With Gaetz being such a brilliant political strategist, what was his plan?
Did he tell you his plan?
What was it?
Cui bono (”who benefits”)? Only the dems.
He simply dropped a bomb and left.
Doing as he was told or face the investigation.
Tell us about your military service.
Your gongs and fruit salad... your bolo badge?
1.2 trillion!
—”1.2 trillion!”
Yes, a math problem, and Gatez made it worse.
Note what Gingrich said.
Stipud move with a one vote majority and over a hundred rinos

Mookabooker Johnson gave the farm away in the budget give away.
The Republican investigations seem to under-perform most of the time but at least some damaging information comes out that the Democrats are trying to hide. If the Democrats regain the House, they will have fake investigations trying to damage Trump and other Republicans and the media will be their collaborators.
