Most states refuse to expand and upgrade their electrical grids.

That is why electric vehicles will die in the end.

I am aware of that, but those states will have to change their policies, because it’s not just evs. Electric stoves & ovens, clothes dryers, outdoor charcoal barbecues, wood stoves, etc. They want everything to be electric. when they get brownout after brownout and then blackouts, new and upgraded powerplants will have to be built. When people start croaking as they are being cooked due to no air conditioning, or freeze because no heat, starve due to no refrigerators, and the lawsuits keep accumulating, there will be change.

Rhode Island was the most recent state to join the list of states pledging to ban the sale of gas-powered cars, joining Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon and Washington.

According to the site, the District of Columbia has also made the commitment.

Other states have adopted versions of the legislation, but not yet pledged to ban gas-powered cars entirely by that date.

For example, Delaware and Colorado last year finalized rules that would require 82 percent of new cars to be zero-emissions vehicles in 2032, but officials have not adopted 2035 bans.
