The ship was dead on a head butt, and IF locals were in control, I don't think they would have allowed it to get so close without some evasive action.
I think I would have at least dropped anchor WAY before the ship got critically close.

The only times this happens is when the truth doesn’t fit the narrative.
They did drop at least the port anchor. Overhead shots showed it had been released and (their words not mine) dragged prior to impact.
Regardless of whose fault it is -- just because someone is Ukrainian or Russian doesn't mean they're acting under orders from Zelensky or Putin.

Oh we all know exactly why. They haven’t had time to create democrat party approved propaganda blaming it on Trump and republicans for not backing every single Biden spending and regulatory plan. They will dig up one little spending bill that had $50 going to that bridge for a memorial gay flag and say “the republicans blocked the amendment causing the collapse, killing “people of color,” shutting down international shipping, hurting Baltimore unions workers, and hurting “American middle class” all to get Trump re-elected.”
The NTSB report so far say the ship lost power and without power could not alter the course. Nothing so far has reported any error on the part of the ships crew.
But let’s not wait for further reports, let’s go ahead an blame Ukraine. /sarc
I’m not blaming anyone. From the time I saw this I’ve been asking what the guy ON THE BOAT said happened? Is that a legit question or not. Oh, no, let’s watch video and guess. Either Ukrainians are now like trans and blacks and their screw ups or crimes are to be buried or it’s something more ominous. If he was from New Jersey we’d have his statement. If he was Russian or Chinese we’d be talking war twenty minutes after it happened.
