My house in NJ rattled for 5 seconds, on phone with coworkers in Albany and Westchester NY, they had issues at the same time. This was about 30 sec ago.

In northern CT did not feel it but the attic was rumbling—sounded like a big animal was up there.

A few seconds of real shaking here just over the line into Fairfield County. Sounds like it must have been centered more in NJ?
Friends near Norwalk actually walked out of their buildings because of the shaking

Eventually it will be realized that climate change has more to do with the rate of release of geothermal energy deep within the earth. Volanoes, mostly underwater heat releases from innumerable deep water “smokers” and earthquakes are the primary , poorly understood cause of heat release into the atmosphere. What causes the rate of release is not understood.
NWNJ, Shook us good. Curios moved around on the shelves and the roar was really loud at its peak. I went out to see if there was anything to see. Lasted about 30 seconds from onset to completely quiet. Very eerie.
We have not even had the eclipse yet. Grin
