So what happens, he goes on trial in New York, gets convicted and what, goes to jail for 36 yrs..because no jury is going to acquit him in New York, even if you find a few that want to, they will be threatened with death if they do

Yep the legal process always have some that gets the brunt
of the process. Federal and State processes may vary from
each other in a case. So in all it comes down to the verdict
and how it impacts the gov’t and individuals. You never know
what a jury will do until they come back with a decision. jmo
