Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is considering granting free-spending establishment Republicans and Democrats one of the top items on their wish list.
Johnson, after delivering crushing defeats to conservatives on government funding, warrantless spying on Americans, and Ukraine aid, is reportedly setting his sights on expanding earmarks.

Good analogy. But I'm afraid that, for a lot of older self-identifying "conservatives," they won't even believe that their ex-stripper wife is cheating on them. They are that clueless, lost in a world that no longer exists, if indeed it ever did.
As long as "conservatives" look to the GOP for salvation, all that awaits this country is political damnation.
In time the details will come out of what really went on with Johnson.
