Twelve Columbia University students who were suspended over an anti-Israel event on campus last month had their punishments lifted shortly after, their lawyer claimed — as the school continues to weather backlash over its handling of protesters on and near the Morningside Heights campus.
About 16 students were initially suspended for failing to provide information about “a host of student activities,” including an “unauthorized” teach-in on the history of Palestinian resistance on March 24, Stanley Cohen told the Village Sun.
The university suspected that the March 24 teach-in titled “Resistance 101” spotlighted a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, which is a US-designated terrorist organization, the Spectator reported.

Likely get a boost in their grades for their ‘COMMunity service’.
“...lawyer vows to take ‘fascist’ school to NY Supreme Court...”
of course they are-
Put their asses on a plane and drop them off in the West Bank...
Just cut their tongues out. They won’t need them. No First Amendment rights in Amerika for anyone who criticizes a certain foreign country.
Trotsky vs. Stalin
Ironically, it’s the students that are fascists, they support a fascist religion.
They should EXPEL all of them just for the comments made by the scumbag lawyer.

First, "protesting" is not in the Constitution, petitioning the government for a redress of grievances is. Occupying the central lawn of a prestigious American college is not petitioning the government.
Second, peaceable assembly is in the Constitution, but occupying the central lawn of a prestigious American college is not peaceable assembly.
There are so many laws being broken that it's time to start invoking deportation laws if any of these people are foreigners here on visas.
It's time to start deporting any foreigners who are found at these rallies.
Student visas. You can't radicalize college students without radicalizers there to start the movements. It is my contention that foreigners who are here on student visas from Europe and the Middle East are more apt to be agitators skilled in organizing protest rallies than are our students.
There are two forces in opposition at work here.
First, our own high school graduates who go to college aren't qualified to be there. High schools are graduating socially promoted students who can't pass standardized tests, who were taught by teachers who can't pass qualification tests, and who were raised on the belief of participation and effort, but not results.
Standardized tests are being dropped by universities as acceptance criteria, quotas are being put in place to ensure that the weakest amongst our children are the ones going to college, and early year curricula are being replaced with remedial high school courses.
It is into these institutions that our youth are being sent to learn how to become young adults, but they are not equipped to live on their own.
Second, the foreign students who come our universities are the exact opposite. They have the fortitude to travel to a foreign land, to live on their own in a different culture, and to be assertive in how they relate to other people regardless of the accomplishments of others or their positions in society. They have no respect for the authorities here and a hidden contempt for the culture of the west.
I believe that if we look at the anti-Israeli rallies and who actually organized them, if we look at the people with the megaphones and microphones, if we look at the speakers on the stages and in front of the cameras, we will see that they are the foreign students, while our American students are motivated simply to participate in and belong to something.
Ironically, according to US federal code, it is a deportable offense for anyone here on a visa to encourage terrorism, to endorse terrorist groups, or to encourage others to support terrorism or terrorist groups.
Obtaining a student visa is a privilege. The free speech of foreigners in this country is limited by US Code to not allow endorsing or encouraging terrorism or terrorist organizations.

Your Middle East Oil Money at work.
Been that way for decades
Reminds me of the old Li’l Abner comic strip from 1966 in which the Students Wildly Indignant about Nearly Everything (S.W.I.N.E.) take over the campus.
The terrified University Regents sell the University to the Mafia who brings in the mob enforcers.
Here come the SWINE protesting!
I still get a thrill remembering how the leader of the protestors used his front teeth to assault the brass knuckles of the mob enforcers. Who says brass won’t make a spark! These did. Big ones at that!
A protest? More like a Love In. Penned in like good little sheep. They aren't even going outside their boundaries. Stupid kids, doing stupid things, led by stupid adults.
They should just put them on the faculty and get it over with. No point in pretending there is any difference in beliefs, anymore.
According to my thesis, it's actually uneducated American students who are unqualified to be in the colleges they attend and are motivated simply to participate in and belong to something, who are being led by foreign agitators skilled in organizing protest rallies and who have no respect for the authorities here and contempt for the culture of the west.
Our kids are wearing the Palestinian colors as participation ribbons, just like any other "awards" they received in K-12 schools. Our kids were taught in schools to be compliant, while the foreign agitators and organizers were taught to hate and riot.

It is old school...any foe of communists is a fascist.
They don’t know, as experienced people who were both communist and fascist, knew that the “other” side was fertile breeding ground for “their” side.
In the end, they are both about control and power.
