Donald Trump Plans Historic Rallies in Bronx, Madison Square Garden: ‘Good Chance of Winning’ New York

Former President Donald Trump stuck to campaign messaging Thursday before walking into his business records trial by announcing plans to hold historic rallies in the Bronx and at Madison Square Garden.

The last time the Bronx was the center of a Republican presidential campaign was in 1984 when Ronald Reagan won by a landslide.

I think we have a good chance of winning here and we’re gonna give it a big plan,” Trump said about New York State. “We’re going to the South Bronx to do a rally.”

“We’re going to be doing a rally at Madison Square Garden, we believe,” Trump added.

The rallies will focus on honoring police, firemen, and teachers. “We’ll be honoring the people that make New York work,” Trump said. “It’ll be very exciting, but we think we have a really good chance of winning.”

He needs to concentrate on getting the never Trumpers, RINOs and suburban women back on board. His rallies are just attended by people like me who will crawl over broken glass to vote for him. They do help Republican candidates who are running for Congress, Senate or Governor.

It might be that 4 tears of Trump then 4 of Biden gave uninformed voters the proper contrast. People go to sleep during a 2nd term. A good reason to resign after 6 years provided the proper vp is in place.

there’s no way in hell he wins NY...he may only lose 55-45 instead of 65-35, but lose he will.

I have no delusions that he has a good chance of taking NY...but my God...can you imagine the irony and subsequent exploding heads, if this corrupt trial forced Trump to stick around and campaign in NY...which he otherwise wouldn’t have done, then led to him winning the state?

“ not be winning the black vote“

Is that a state?

“ He may not win but he could very well force Democrats to expend time and money in a state they normally treat as a slam dunk in presidential elections.”

Which they did last time

In 2020 republicans won big in NY, it had been ignored by the cheating Dems. Calif too.

The rallies will be great and all, but Trump is not winning New York... or California... or Illinois... or Maryland.

No, but if he does better in these states, the numbers will trickle down to the swing states. Could even give him the useless (but important to Democrats) popular vote bragging rights.

In related news, he will also not be winning the black vote, though he will likely improve on his 2020 numbers with that demographic.

No again, but he's polling surprisingly well with Latinos, many of whom feel ignored by the Democrats and their endless BLM 24/7/365 messaging.

Blue collar, socially conservative Latino voters are the future of the GOP. And, yes, I know GWB said this 20+ years ago but it may actually become true.

Just a wild daydream, but...

Letitia and the DNC conspire to keep Trump from campaigning by forcing him to appear in a NY courtroom on bogus charges.
The sleazy injustice of it all provokes outrage in the city and viral protests around the courthouse. Pro-Trump rallies spread throughout the city, then nationwide.
Tsunami Landslide not only for Trump but a large number of down-ticket MAGA members, sweeping a lot of libs out of office.
And it all started with you, Letitia. Have a happy retirement.

Each day when he Leaves the courthouse and gets to the mike, should be a mini-rally. It is a waste of time talking about the trial. Day by day he should lay out the MAGA
agenda and why it is what America needs. Use the time provided to campaign.

NY has been converted to a vote fraud state. It is unlikely that Trump could get past that.

This would translate across the rest of the country as a landslide to include winning the popular vote.

Zeldin’s run for Gov fell short for that seat, but his coat tails caused plenty of Rat heartburn. May Trump’s Rat enforced NY rallies do at least as much!

Please enlighten this non-New Yorker - is he talking about TWO rallies, one in South Bronx and another in Madison Square Garden, or one rally?

Is Madison Square Garden in South Bronx?

Merely campaigning is not enough to win the unwinnable. Otherwise Biden could win Texas and Ohio simply by campaigning there a lot. Trump could campaign in New York for a 1000 years and not win it.

“The rallies will focus on honoring police, firemen, and teachers..”

Police and firemen, yes, teachers no. Not the way teachers are indoctrinating our kids from kindergarten. They are not to be honored, but despised.

Police and firemen, yes, teachers no.

No teachers would show up for fear of retribution back at work.
