A passenger car with seven people crashed in Delaware County, PA, while fleeing from State Troopers. The occupants are believed to have stolen items from the Glen Mills, PA, Lululemon. This is out in the country, over twenty miles from Philadelphia.
The driver allegedly hit 110 mph after he saw the police. Then he lost control and crashed into a guard rail.
Isaiah Miller, 20, Ikeam Rogers, 20, Kalyn Billups, 21, Tyjana Motley, 17, and an unborn baby died. Three other people in the car survived. At least two of the victims’ names match Facebook accounts in Philadelphia.

Looks like it happened on the Conchester (US 322) where it hasn’t been widened yet. There’s a multi-year project going on where the road is to be widened to four lanes. It used to be called the Killer Conchester back in the day from all of the crashes that used to take place on it. I live nearby and I’ve driven it countless times. The speed limit where they crashed is (I think) 35. Just a little farther west it climbs to 45.

I know but it said the 4 died (the unborn baby is 5) and three others were in the car that survived. That’s 8. I see the red car but can’t make out what it is. The report says passenger car and I don’t think they would say that if it’s an SUV. Still 7 people in the car with one being pregnant? What is that a clown car?
Something tells me they will joyfully cast ballots for Biden at least once.

It’s a Taurus. You can tell by the tail lights. I’ve seen a million of them (and I only buy Fords).
That stretch of the Conchester ***ALWAYS*** has heavy traffic during the day. Always. A crash was inevitable at that speed. Frankly I’m amazed that they didn’t hit another car or three. The two major reasons for the widening project are safety and traffic density. It’s a nightmare driving down that stretch of road during the evening rush hour. It doesn’t start to open up until you get past Chichester and the speed limit goes up to 45, mainly because it becomes more rural.
If a member of a crew commits a crime, the crew is equally responsible.

That 2001 Taurus was my second Ford (first was a 1981 Escort) and most likely my last Ford. Nothing but problems with both.

It looks like the thieves were almost home free. I think that gas station is just past Cherry Tree Road (at which there’s a traffic light). Heading east on the Conchester, if they’d managed to make it another thousand feet the road widens back up to four lanes and the speed limit goes back up to 45. They would have had a straight shot to either I-95 or Chester at that point.

IMHO this all tracks back to the Great Society welfare system. I don’t know if it was designed to destabilize the family and thus society so the government could gain more power to “fix” the problems, but it sure is turning out that way.
