Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that she had to kill her dangerous dog, adding that President Joe Biden’s dog “has attacked 24 Secret Service people.”

MARGARET BRENNAN: Okay, so you don’t agree with Mr. Trump’s statement there. I want to ask you again about the book. I- I know you know, this question is coming, because there’s been such an enormous backlash about your revelation that you shot and killed a Wirehair Pointer or named Cricket, who was 14 months old. You say in the book, she came from another family that struggled with her aggression, you’d been training her to hunt, she got too excited, ruined the hunt, and then attacked and killed some chickens. I wonder if you have regrets about sharing this story.

There are people here at FR who brag about the number of dogs that they’ve killed. Dogs plural, because everyone knows you have to turn in your badass card if you haven’t shot at least a couple or three dogs in your time, better if you’ve lost count. A merciful end is for sissies.
I don't think I quite understand the "what happened" part of this. You mean there were once truly "intelligent conservatives"? Wow, good to know.
That this politically tin-eared ditz was ever on anybody's short list to be Trump's running mate says a lot about the depth of the GOP's bench.
So full term partial birth abortion is OK? In many states, elderly patients on Medicaid are offered government sponsored euthanasia, as opposed to expensive treatments. But ending the life of a dog is considered a sign of barbarian behavior.

She actually is showing her ignorance, stupidity, and callousness.
Billy Goats do what she describes by instinct. Anyone that’s been around goats for ten minutes knows this.
She repeatedly refers back to shooting “Cricket,” the young dog, like it’s the crowning achievement of her life.

Worse than that. She wrote her book to burnish her image to run for national office.
She actually thought that story would be a resume enhancer in a run for VP and eventually President.
She is out of touch and has very poor political judgment
Enemies are looking for any opening to use the ridicule their opponents.
This should have been clear when they went after Romney for putting his dog on the roof.

If she shot a horse, few could articulate their fury as there’s no established pony cult that would amplify their rage.
The first thing any politician has to realize is that the majoriry of Americans are blithering idiots.
I wasn’t there. Some dogs need to be put down. Maybe this was one of them. What possessed her, though, to think it was a good idea to put this in a book, knowing how so many Americans love dogs? You just do what needs to be done and move on.
The people who are criticizing her for killing the dog are the kind of morons that think you shouldn't kill animals for meat, because you can buy meat at the supermarket.
She was asked about her lies that she stared down Kim Jung Un who she claimed she was sure that he “underestimated ” her.
Three times, she responded:
“I’ve met with many, many world leaders. Many world leaders. I’ve traveled around the world,” Noem said.
When pressed further, she suggested that she wouldn’t speak about private meetings with World leaders, yet that’s precisely what she did in her book!
She’s just not bright.
Most laws that deal with vicious or aggressive dogs state that after three unprovoked attacks the dog is put down..do not pass go or collect $100. Biden’s German Shepherd should have been dispensed after the third attack. I’ve seen vicious and unruly dogs that were over a year and that were poor candidates for any rehabilitation or societal contact. That being said, SSS is the best for any politician with today’s preponderance of hand wringing bed wetting liberals and tree huggers.
Anyone who knows me knows I’m a total dog lover.
Things are different on a ranch or farm. Wild dogs, coyote, and sometimes (although rare) a dog is born with a screw loose just like some people. The humane thing to do is to end it quickly.
I don’t like it but it is what it is.
Politically speaking, she should have never talked about this. It will follow her forever now.
