I define "attack" to mean when the first massive and overwhelming air attack on Iraq begins.

This will probably be announced by President Bush when he addresses the nation to say that the attack on Iraq has begun.

You're right, in transcribing I copied the hour (7:34 UTC) instead of the date of new moon. Has nothing to do with the Muslim calendar. Desert Storm began 16 January 2339Z, 3:39 local time, 24 hours after the new moon. We own the night.

How do you define 'when the attack begins'?

The first missile? When it hits Baghdad or when it is fired?

When the first bomb dropped or the time the bomber takes off?

If any of the military currently in the region are part of the attack, then the attack has already begun.
