God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear . . . (Ps. 46:1-2)
Dear LORD, we ask please to revive our hearts in the only fear that brings power, strength, hope and surety. The BLESSED FEAR OF THE LORD. What a difference AWE brings as opposed to dread. Standing in AWE and FEAR of the ALMIGHTY is both a humbling and powerful reaction to our very being. Humbling, because we respond to YOU with the HONOR, GLORY, PRAISE and RESPECT due YOUR NAME, and strength, because placed in a humble position before YOU, we know that the ALMIGHTY, the MOST HIGH, the only GOD, CREATOR, SUSTAINER, and REDEEMER, takes care of us, come what may.
Therefore we will not fear – though the earth should change, and though the mountains shake into the heart of the sea; Though its waters roar and foam, Though the mountains quake at its lofty pride. (Ps. 46:2-3)
Precious Savior, You have told us of these end times for which we live - "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ, ' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains” - and we hold fast to Your Promises and Trust in Your Grace and Mercy to get us through.
Precious Savior, You told us - “At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.” - Remind us, Dear LORD, that The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Ps. 27:1) AMEN. Help us remain steadfast in firm, we will not be shaken, because YOU are always with us, in us, and will take us to YOURSELF. This is our blessed hope.
And we close in prayer for those who are lost in this world and in the systems, ways, and propaganda of its minions. Those who are fearful and without hope. May they first and foremost lift their eyes toward heaven and call upon the Name of the LORD. For The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom. The knowledge of the Holy One is understanding . . . then you will discern the fear of the LORD and discover the knowledge of God . . . Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, declares the LORD (Prov. 9:10; 2:5; Jer. 29:12-14) AMEN.
