RUSH: Here’s a little theory I have. You know, they’re running the same playbook with just different people. This whistleblower complaint may as well be the Steele dossier, its version of the Steele dossier, lies, made up, bunch of anonymous sources, we don’t know who it is. And just like the Steele dossier, it was put together by opponents of Donald Trump and being made to look like it’s legitimate intelligence. Everything about it, it’s right out of the Christine Blasey Ford playbook as well. She has this letter. She sends this letter to her member of Congress, who then...

The Trump administration has awarded three new contracts to build about 65 miles of new border wall across the Rio Grande Valley—the busiest sector for Border Patrol agents. According to a press release from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency (CBP), the new border wall sections will be built across Starr, Hidalgo and Cameron Counties in Texas. "The border wall system will include an 18-30 foot tall steel bollard wall, all-weather roads, lighting, enforcement cameras, and other related technology to create a complete enforcement zone," the press release states.

While acknowledging that Horowitz is widely respected, these critics say his work has long been hampered by biases, conflicts and a tendency to play favorites, as in past probes of former FBI Director James Comey, whom Horowitz worked under in New York. Their main complaint is that he pulls his punches. Horowitz’s investigation of the FBI's handling of the Hillary Clinton email case, for example, concluded that many of Comey’s explanations for his dubious actions were “unconvincing," while stopping short of saying that Comey lied to investigators. Comey asserted implausibly that he delayed acting on a mountain of new Clinton...

A student who passed out Valentine's hearts with Christian Scripture written on them shared how she was treated on campus. The lawsuit she filed even caught the attention of President Donald Trump. "Who knew a little valentine would take me to the White House," said Polly Anna Olsen. The paralegal student explained she was handing out cut-out cards with messages that include 'Jesus Loves You! Romans 5:8' in memory of her mother who had recently died of pancreatic cancer. It was a tradition they shared together, giving out similar notes in nursing homes. She says the reception she received at...

The leaks coming from the White House are now crossing into the animal kingdom ... because a mouse fell out of a ceiling, sending reporters into a frenzy!!! The wild scene went down Tuesday morning at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, when a mouse plunged through the ceiling in the press booth and landed in a journo's lap. Members of the media were obviously shocked by the rodent's rude entrance, with reporters scurrying out of their seats. A mouse hunt ensued ... and video shows the furry critter darting behind tables and equipment, eluding capture. One reporter even busted out a broom,...

Hunter Biden privately admitted he fathered the child of an Arkansas woman, but continues to deny it publicly, the mother claims in court documents obtained exclusively by DailyMail.com. Former college basketball player Lunden Roberts filed a petition for paternity and support in May, alleging Biden was the biological father of her one-year-old baby. Roberts, 28, asked the court to 'establish paternity' while seeking child support, health insurance and legal fees. Hunter, 49, has previously denied all allegations and demanded the suit be tossed. But in court papers filed on Monday, Roberts claims Hunter directly admitted to her that he is...

Recently, I went to dinner at the home of Rebecca Kee, a preschool principal in San Francisco who turned to Maddow in her depression and confusion over the 2016 election. I brought a bottle of rosé, and she poured it into glasses decorated with charms that featured Russia-investigation figures on one side and characters from “Star Trek: The Next Generation” on the other. I sipped from the Hope Hicks/Beverly Crusher glass, and we watched Maddow’s show over veggie enchiladas. “I think of her as a news doula: You know the news is going to be painful no matter what, so...

Largest ever amount of PLA soldiers in Hong Kong. China has doubled the number of its troops stationed in Hong Kong as one expert warns that the soldiers could be preparing for a “total breakdown in order.” According to Reuters, Chinese military personnel in Hong Kong doubled last month to 12,000, with many of the reinforcements arriving in late August. The troop movements were initially claimed to be a routine “rotation,” but were in fact the arrival of thousands of extra soldiers and anti-riot forces (as we reported at the time). China has now “assembled its largest-ever active force of...

For about a month, the rocks were just a mystery. Two dozen boulders had popped up along a San Francisco sidewalk — and even officials were stumped. “We don’t know who put them in, but it wasn’t the city,” a councilman said. By the time the rocks were hauled away Monday, they’d spawned days of headlines and split a community. Local news outlets began to piece the story together last week: Weary of alleged drug dealing among homeless people camping out on their block, neighbors on the street of Clinton Park had pooled several thousand dollars to physically bar the...

Fox Business Network host Lou Dobbs tore into Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for their roles in the impeachment inquiry against Trump. Dobbs also turned his ire towards the whistleblower, whose complaint sparked the impeachment inquiry, accusing Trump of inappropriately pushing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to open an investigation into former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, while mentioning military aid in a phone call. The whistleblower is reportedly a CIA employee who was assigned to the White House. Pelosi officially endorsed the House's impeachment inquiry last week. "Ignorance of...

Kamala Harris is shaking up the top ranks of her presidential campaign, the latest sign her once-promising bid is failing to meet expectations. The staff moves amount to a significant reorganization for a campaign that’s dropped so far in polls that it risks becoming a postscript in the Democratic primary. Harris’ light early-state schedule, hiccups on the trail and lack of consistency in delivering her message have consumed much of the attention and blame for her mounting struggles.

Tomorrow is the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the 1919 World Series, the one that was fixed. Eight members of the Chicago White Sox (or was it really just seven) threw the Series so crooked gamblers could cash in on a Cincinnati upset win. Cincinnati did win the best of nine series, five games to three. Harry Stein has a good account of it in this article for City Journal. I’d like to add a few side notes. First, “Shoeless” Joe Jackson, the biggest star among the Black Sox, batted .375 in this World Series. At the plate, he...

DALLAS - A former Dallas police officer who fatally shot an unarmed man in his apartment was found guilty of murder by a Dallas County jury on Tuesday. Guyger was off-duty but still in uniform after a long shift when she shot Botham Jean, a 26-year-old accountant from the Caribbean nation of St. Lucia. Murder carries a sentence of five to 99 years. The punishment phase, which will start Tuesday afternoon, will determine just how long her sentence will be. Cheers erupted in the courthouse as the verdict was announced, and someone yelled "Thank you, Jesus!" In the hallway outside...

Hillary and Chelsea Clinton appeared on Good Morning America Tuesday to promote their new book, The Book of Gutsy Women, and host Amy Robach wrapped up the interview with a question playing on the book's title, per Politico and CNN. "Can I ask you, what's the gutsiest thing you've ever done?" Robach asked Hillary Clinton, which caused the former secretary of state to pause for just a split second, then reveal: "Ah, boy, I think the gutsiest thing I've ever done—well, personally, make the decision to stay in my marriage." Of course, Clinton ranked running for president as the gutsiest...

The inspector general for the intelligence community said late Monday that the whistleblower whose complaint touched off an impeachment inquiry claimed to have firsthand knowledge of misconduct -- a claim that appears to conflict with documents sent to Congress and the director of national intelligence. The lengthy statement Monday was posted in response to questions, raised in the media and by congressional Republicans, about the disclosure form filed by the whistleblower, who first flagged concerns about President Trump's July phone call in which he asked the leader of Ukraine to "look into" actions by former Vice President Joe Biden and...

The son of a now-deceased Deutsche Bank executive has helped the FBI with probes related to the bank, The New York Times reported Tuesday. Val Broeksmit, the son of senior executive Bill Broeksmit, reportedly had a trove of bank documents and spoke to the law enforcement agency following his father's suicide. Deutsche Bank is facing scrutiny over its dealings with President Trump and his family. The House Intelligence and Financial Services committees have subpoenaed Deutsche Bank records relating to tp Trump. “We remain committed to cooperating with authorized investigations,” a Deutsche Bank spokesperson told The Hill in a statement, but...

A vegan who says she was served a pork sausage roll that she thought was meat-free claims she has been “traumatized for life.” Sharleen Ndungu, 20, said she began having heart palpitations immediately after being informed that the roll contained meat. And then, she said, she began to cry. “I haven’t had meat in two years,” Ndungu said, according to Metro UK. “My belly started hurting and my heart started going crazy. I was panicking because that only happens when I consume meat — this doesn’t happen when I have other food. I’m traumatized for life now — I’m never...
