"When I turned 18, I registered to vote and according to my grandfather, that’s the day I became a politician. “If you can vote, you’re a politician,” he would say. ... The policies and the rhetoric coming out of the Trump administration no longer represent the values that I hold true. The wealthy are favored at the expense of the vast majority of working and middle-class families. Too many are denied access to basic health care. Millions of people – mostly black and brown – are preyed upon by a system that favors profit-driven mass incarceration over rehabilitation. And the...

Captain Paul Watson from the controversial marine conservation group Sea Shepherd says that a lack of resources and technology compared to the Japanese whalers has made it impossible for the group to effectively combat the killing of whales in the Southern Ocean Whale Sanctuary. As the Japanese whaling fleet embarks on its annual whale hunt in the Southern Ocean, for the first time in 12 years Sea Shepherd will not be sending ships to the whale sanctuary. The group initially announced the decision to end the yearly campaign in August. “The reason that Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is not now...

Many people over the age of thirty treat YouTube as sort of a joke. They use to use it primarily to watch clips of speeches or for how-to videos: how to fix a dishwater, how to set up a wireless printer. But in the past six months or so, older conservatives have begun to follow specific channels from a wide variety of perspectives – people with 1 million, 2 million subscribers and more. And they are now realizing that YouTube can be one of the greatest facilitators of communication in the world – a way for ordinary people to bypass...

**SNIP** “Let’s not mince words,” she said in Montreal. “This is a new cold war and it’s just getting started ... We are in a global struggle between liberal democracy and a rising tide of illiberalism, authoritarianism and dictatorship. “That illiberalism comes in many strains, including in Russia’s aggressive efforts to destabilize — if not dismantle — the liberal world order.” The antidote, Clinton claims, is the “wave of activism” she said is inspiring her in the U.S. and around the world.

An engineering student who was an LGBTQ activist was shot and killed by Georgia Tech campus police on Saturday night, officials said Sunday. The school identified the victim as Scout Schultz, 21, a fourth-year engineering student from Lilburn, Georgia, who police said was armed with a knife. Schultz, president of Georgia Tech's Pride Alliance, identified as non-binary and intersex and preferred to be referred to with they/them gender pronouns, according to the alliance's website. At a news conference Monday, Schultz's family's attorney said the student was experiencing a "mental breakdown" on the night of the shooting.

The left has upped the stakes in its guerilla operations against Republicans, as deep-pocketed groups fund protesters to show up to the offices and even houses of congressmen to protest their lack of "town hall" meetings. ------- Local chapters of a left-wing group called “Indivisible” helped organize and lead those two protests. ------- ...in which left-wing groups throw their first punch by rounding up activists and training them to be as disruptive as possible during representatives’ town halls. ------- when lawmakers stop holding those events, the groups throw their second punch by protesting at their homes. ------- While local chapters...

The Higher Education Establishment insists that its mission is just that. Academic insiders know better. "Activism in this broad sense rules the day in contemporary higher education," Zena Hitz, a tutor at St. John’s College in Annapolis, writes in the summer 2017 issue of Modern Age. "The core purpose of the University of Texas, according to its mission statement, is 'to transform lives for the benefit of society.'" "Education is for the sake of 'social transformation,' says Harvard College--or 'the improvement of the world today,' according to Yale University." Yet and still, conservatives ready to high five each other and...

In order to REMEMBER in November the RAT FINKs who STINK I’ve created a memory aid. Use it often among friends and family so it can go viral. If you can think of something better I’d be happy to take any suggestions. The goal is to make these RAT FINKS into red hot radioactive waste nobody wants to touch come election day. Friday, I had a great interview with Greg Pruett, the founder and President of the Idaho Second Amendment Alliance. The ISAA has been successful in getting anti-gun legislators voted out of office, getting city and county gun bans overturned (Idaho has a state pre-emption law, but when did a pesky little thing like the law ever stop penny-ante tyrants?), and in making Idaho the ninth state in the nation to pass a Constitutional carry law. Really, if you don’t know what Constitutional carry is, Google it. Better yet, get a copy of the Constitution and read it.

Trump needs our help. To be effective we must have a game plan. The MAGA-TRAIN Game Plan: 1) Call your DEM/GOP senator and congressman each week, every week until further notice. The call only counts if you speak to someone, otherwise keep at it. 2) No script, just express your opinion. 3) Ask friends/family to commit to do the same and pass it on. Reasoning: 1) Arguing with the brainwashed left changes nothing. 2) Arguing with the RNC is not as effective. 3) If everyone makes these calls each week every week, we can put pressure on the Uniparty. I...

If you’re feeling angry about the issues of the day–from Trump’s immigration ban to moves to skirt internet privacy–here’s a new, more productive way to vent: Get paid to set up an activist group. The nonprofit Fight for the Future, which works on keeping the internet free and open, recently announced a campaign to start “A-Teams” (Activism Teams). It’s prepared to offer $15,000 for a month’s startup capital. And it’s enlisting non-traditional types, including journalists, lawyers, advertisers, therapists, nurses, and designers. “There are incubators and accelerators that every year fund companies that change the world. We want to do something...

I was driving into work this morning and heard an ad for this site (http://tpusa.com) on the news talk radio station I listen to. Apparently some Lib professors were on their list and they were complaining about it. Amoung other things, their stated mission is to: "Launch, organize, and support student groups that exist to educate students about the benefits of limited government, capitalism, and freedom." Sounds great to me. No doubt some of you have heard of it, so what's you're opinion?

We hear it all the time from politicians: They are finally going to stop the “waste, fraud, and abuse” in government. In states with more corruption, like Pennsylvania, New York, or Illinois, calls to clean up government are frequent as well. The problem is that these promises rarely come to fruition. This week—Sunshine Week—is a perfect time to stop waiting for someone else to fix these problems. Let’s look to citizens, and a push for more open government, to get the job done. As the saying goes, sunlight is the best disinfectant of all.

Southern rock band Blackberry Smoke is sticking to what they know. "I don't think that our fans want to hear about our politics," lead singer Charlie Starr told Fox News. "We're not what you would call a politically-charged band." The Georgia native said their job as musicians is to offer their fans an escape from the often-harsh world, not share their politics.

Q: What is the goal of A Day Without a Woman? A: The goal is to highlight the economic power and significance that women have in the US and global economies, while calling attention to the economic injustices women and gender nonconforming people continue to face. We play an indispensable role in the daily functions of life in all of society, through paid & unpaid, seen & unseen labor. We must have the power to control our bodies and be free from gender norms, expectations and stereotypes. We must free ourselves and our society from the constant awarding of power,...

In case you were not aware of it, the 4th circuit court ruled that the 2nd amendment does not apply to military appearing weapons. Now, this is a curious ruling in that [1] it applies constitutional standards that are not present (the appearance of a firearm), [2] a ruling of 10-4 in favor of this (heavily stacked by liberal progressive -socialists), [3] affects the 2nd amendment, [4] which the liberals say does not apply to individuals but to militias. What is not reported in the media (aside from just about everything regarding this) is that the 2nd amendment applies to...
