It will air on Fox News Channel program "Hannity" on Wednesday night. The church’s pastor, Dr. Darrell Scott, said the event was moved to Cleveland from Columbus on Sunday to provide adequate space for the taping of the Fox News town hall.

Donald Trump is scheduled to hold a town hall event with Sean Hannity of Fox News at a black church in Cleveland, Ohio. The Republican nominee will be hosted by Reverend Darrell Scott, an outspoken Trump supporter, at the New Spirit Revival Center in Cleveland Heights. The network indicates the event will specifically “discuss the core issues and concerns surrounding African-Americans this 2016 election cycle.” Trump has appeared on Hannity’s program more than any host in cable news recently. Hannity, a conservative, has publicly endorsed Trump. “I’m not hiding the fact that I want Donald Trump to be the next...

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton staged a personal speech about her faith, baring her soul to the congregation and talking personally about her commitment to her faith. “This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it,” Clinton said, citing Scripture as she took the stage at the National Baptist Convention in Kansas City. “For me, it has always been about trying to live up to the responsibility described by the Prophet Micah that we do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with our God,” she said.

Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton delivered a keynote speech at the National Baptist Convention Thursday night, but photos show that many people failed to show up. Prior to the speech, workers moved in wall partitions in the giant venue, according to tweets from several reporters who were there. The National Baptist Convention is being held in Kansas City Missouri with thousands of baptist worshipers from all fifty states. Hillary Clinton was the key note speaker. The convention organizers anticipated considerable -and enthusiastic- attendance, amid a predominantly black audience. The first day of the convention almost every seat was full –SEE HERE– There was no reason to anticipate the convention attendees would not show up for Hillary Clinton. The Kansas City Convention Center was set up in the same manner as the prior days general sessions where almost every seat was full. Then this happened: clinton-kc-6

As an old proverb on foreign policy goes, "Only Nixon could go to China." But, after his meeting with an African-American evangelical congregation on Saturday, someday, they might make a similar statement about race relations: "Only Trump could go to Detroit." Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump absolutely stunned the political world with a speech that went directly to the heart of his efforts to reach out to African-American voters. And afterward, a number of African-American faith leaders said they were swayed by his comments. "For centuries, the African-American church has been the conscience of our country," he said. "It's from...

Ben Carson, an adviser to Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, said Sunday that African-American voters should back the GOP nominee as an agent of change after decades of inner-city failure under Democratic governance. Mr. Trump, trying to court an African-American populace that has largely rejected the GOP contender so far, on Saturday visited a black church and called for “a civil-rights agenda for our time.’’ He cited discrimination and disparities in education, employment and public safety for African-Americans. Mr. Carson said the GOP candidate offered black voters “an alternative to promises (by Democrats) that are not kept.”

Al Sharpton wasn’t all that impressed by Donald Trump‘s black outreach efforts with a visit to a Detroit church today. He said on MSNBC this afternoon that Trump “blew an opportunity” to lay out a clear vision of his agenda for the black community in an ideal forum for that. And with Trump talking about communities learning from each other, Sharpton said, “Harlem is on the same island as Trump Tower. What have you gone up there and learned?”

Reuters was reportedly the only news service to be providing video coverage of Donald Trump’s visit to a Detroit church on Saturday, and a mystery voice could be overheard ordering someone to “shut down” the feed before the event had concluded. Bishop Wayne T. Jackson was presenting Trump with a prayer shawl and two Bibles when a hushed voice off camera could be heard saying, “I’m shooting this, I don’t care what…” Moments later, the same voice said “Shut this down?” “Shut it, yeah,” another voice said.

Media doesn’t quite know what to do with the prayer shawl — and standing ovation — the GOP nominee received following his speech to an historically black church in Detroit. Donald Trump spoke at the Great Faith Ministries Church in Detroit on Saturday. The church was super happy to have him here… Everybody did really enjoy his speech. Donald Trump ended with a bible verse: I’d like to conclude with a passage from First John, Chapter 4: You know it! You see most groups I speak to don’t know that. But we know. If you want we can say it...

CHARLOTTE -- It wasn’t a typical Sunday for members of the Antioch Road to Glory International Ministries in Charlotte. The predominately African-American church held a “Day of Endorsement” for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Lafonda Jackson has attended the church for almost three decades and says most members support the effort. “It’s not about upsetting anyone. It’s not about choosing sides. It’s about change. In the church right now, we have full support; no one has been asked to vote or swing one way or the other,” said Jackson. “It is completely up to every individual in here, and there’s...

A subdued Donald Trump on Saturday directly addressed a largely African-American audience for the first time as a presidential candidate, delivering a warmly received message of unity that focused on fixing economic hardship in the black community. Trump spoke to members of the Great Faith Ministries, a nondenominational church in Detroit, part of his outreach to what is typically a sizable Democratic voting bloc. His visit, however, was greeted by protests outside of the church ahead of his arrival. For centuries, the African-American church has been the conscience of this country. So true," Trump said, reading from prepared remarks. He...

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made an appeal directly to African-American voters while speaking at a black church in Detroit on Saturday and said they are 'God's greatest gift to our nation.' The billionaire traveled to the city for a special service at the Great Faith International Ministries church along with Dr. Ben Carson and Omarosa Manigault, his director of African-American Outreach. Trump vowed that if he was elected president he would bring jobs back to impoverished black communities. His latest trip comes amid criticism that Trump has yet to bring his message into black communities across America, after weeks...
