A woman abandoned as a newborn 27 years ago in an Allentown, Pennsylvania, fast-food restaurant bathroom has been reunited with her birth mother after a social media blitz, local media reported on Wednesday. Katheryn Deprill has been dubbed “The Burger King Baby”. Deprill, who is now 27, was abandoned in the bathroom of an Allentown, Pennsylvania Burger King restaurant. Deprill knew that she was adopted, but did not know she was abandoned until she was twelve, when a school assignment prompted her to question her adoptive parents. Those parents, Brenda and Carl Hollis, showed her the newspaper clippings that detailed Katheryn’s abandonment in 1986. Katheryn read the clippings, and was astounded at the story.

Burger King wants people to feel less guilty about gobbling up its french fries. The world’s No. 2 hamburger chain is launching a new crinkle-cut french fry on Tuesday that it says has about 20 percent fewer calories than its regular french fries. The chain says a small order of the new “Satisfries” clocks in at 270 calories because of a new batter that doesn’t absorb as much oil. STOCKTON (CBS13) — Two robbery suspects were foiled when a Burger King employee slipped out the back door and made off with their getaway car. Stockton Police say it’s like nothing they’ve seen before. They say two men ran into a fast food restaurant, pulled out their guns and demanded cash. While the two men were inside robbing the cashier, another Burger King employee sneaked out the back. He noticed the suspects’ getaway car running, so he hopped in.

IMMOKALEE, Fla., - Authorities in Florida said a Burger King employee fired during an argument with his boss allegedly threatened the manager with a knife.
