Russia's military operation in Ukraine opened a new era - and in three dimensions at once. And of course, in the fourth, domestic. Here begins a new period both in ideology and in the very model of our socio-economic system - but it is worth talking about separately a little later. Russia isrestoringitsunity-thetragedyof 1991, this terrible catastrophe of our history, its unnatural dislocation, has been overcome. Yes, at a high price, yes, through the tragic events of...

Remington is, presumably, still manufacturing the 700 CP in .308 ... anyone know of an outlet that can reliably (if not quickly) get one if ordered? In these "everything but 6.5 sells out immediately" times, seems most/all local & online dealers just get stuff randomly and sell immediately. I'm looking for somewhere reliably expecting to get it, can give updated status, and will actually hold it for me when they do.

Observation: the price of Walmart's 'Oak Leaf' wine nearly doubled overnight. What was long priced at 750ml @ $2.95, dropped to $2.50 for a few weeks, then just spiked to >$4. Canary in the coal mine? Might be time to refill supplies, before supply chain disruption increases prices. Similar is being said about meat.

Bay Area start-up Rent the Backyard is making new room in dense cities by collaborating with homeowners who've got a little extra acreage. They’re partnering with companies like NODE, who make sustainable, carbon-neutral homes that can be installed in just a few days. Utilities will hook up to the property's principal dwelling, and they'll be...
