I can only hope that now Gov. Bredesen has asked Obama for help, we'll get some national recognition with what's going on here in the Music City. http://www.tennessean.com/ We are under a flood warning here in Murfreesboro, and more than likely will be travelling to Bellvue to help friends with a flooded house. This is a big deal here... they are sandbagging the last water treatment plant to keep it safe. The only entrance is via the railroad tracks. I can totally see how Davidson Metro could be without water soon. Again, sorry for the vanity.

Please forgive me for the vanity. I'm looking for an article that someone posted about a journalist who spoke with an old terrorist, and explained how we'd have another attack sometime around now. I can't remember much other than he said it would be suitcase nukes over major cities. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Okay, I just fired off a heated email to Thad Chocran of MS about his earmark spending... do we have a list of other "Republicans" that have spending in this bill? I'm all jacked up on Mt. Dew!!

Sorry for the vanity. It's getting close to one year since my wife's brother was taken in an explosion in Iraq. She's really interested to know who these brave souls were. I've searched here and looked at Drudge but it's just not making the headlines it should. Thanks.

I apologize for the vanity, but my wife just went out to get some clothes for our oldest... and apparently there is a run on gas tonight. We live in Murfreesboro, TN and she passed about 8 service stations that were out of gas before finding one that was stocked. Of course, it was $3.89/gal. I guess Ike has people freaking out. It looks like a really bad situation there for Texas. Hopefully trucks will run tomorrow to replenish the supply that's all but gone tonight. On another note, I was watching a show on the science channel the other...

On the way to the home depot this last Saturday, I ran across this vehicle. On the back were about 8 or 9 anti-Bush bumper stickers. One had the big W that said Worst... one said "I'm president George W. Bush and I approve this mess." Of course, immediately... I say a silent prayer that this tool is heading to home depot. He did not. I was prepared to befriend him, tell him how much I enjoy his bumper stickers and then tell him... "You know what I think, I think four more years of President George W. Bush is...

Okay, I know the rule about vanities and I'm doing my best here... but I feel I need to share this. Taylor and his tank crew were killed by a suicide bomber in Iraq on March 10th. Today, Leslie was presented with a painting that was painted by a relative of one of her co-workers. It represents the five that were killed that day. God bless these men.

FLASHBACK: PROSECUTOR BLUFFED 'LIMBAUGH COMMITTED AT LEAST 10 FELONIES' Sun Apr 30 2006 17:15:30 ET Palm Beach County prosecutors rejected an overture in 2004 from Rush Limbaugh's attorneys that would have allowed the nation's top talkshow host to enter drug rehabilitation, rather than face criminal charges for prescription drug abuse. Prosecutors, at the time, claimed they had evidence that Limbaugh committed at least 10 felonies! It now appears James Martz, the prosecutor who headed the investigation into Limbaugh's prescription drug use, was bluffing when he said that medical records "indicate evidence that would support in excess of 10 felony counts...

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - After three years under suspicion, Rush Limbaugh can finally put behind him the investigation that exposed the conservative commentator's own drug problems, thrusting him into the spotlight for the very things he derided in others. None of it affected his ratings for a radio talk show that airs weekdays on nearly 600 stations and draws about 20 million listeners a week, Limbaugh spokesman Tony Knight said. "This investigation didn't have any impact on his audience or on his advertising," Knight said Saturday, a day after defense attorneys announced a deal with prosecutors. A single prescription...

Please forgive me and my first vanity... my computer has died and I can't revive it. I used to have a link to a FR thread that showed photos of just about every inauguration day to current. Any help in locating this would be great. I've searched and searched but can't find it. Sorry for the vanity.

The above link is to a song that's available free for download. It's a friend of mine that's singing it, and so far it's gaining a good bit of attention. All proceeds of the sale of the single is being donated to the victims families of the September 11 tradgedy. We've gotten several radio stations locally to pick it up, and hopefully it will be played during the upcoming Nashville Predator's home games. It's a great song, and I'd like to ask each of you to check it out. Thanks, Spence

Monday July 9 4:17 PM ET White House: NAACP Chairman Went Too Far By Arshad Mohammed WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House said on Monday the chairman of the NAACP civil rights group went too far in saying some of President Bush (news - web sites)'s nominees came from the ``Taliban wing of American politics'' and showed a ``nearly canine'' devotion to the Confederacy. Julian Bond, chairman of the board of directors of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (news - web sites), made the remarks on Sunday in broadly criticizing the Republican president's policies.
