I just wanted to thank everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. I really appreciate reading them. It really was a shock for me. Like I said, Donna was not sick. She just went to bed early Monday night. Her door was mostly closed when I got up the next morning. I went over to my mother's house to get her out of bed and make breakfast. I then came home around 10am and she was still sleeping. I went in her room to wake her and found her gone. I am still in shock. I find myself forgetting that...

Donna passed away unexpectedly last Tuesday. She wasn’t ill but passed quietly in her sleep. Donna was my best friend and living companion for the last 48 years. I will miss her terribly. McB.

I'm looking for a powerpoint slide show that features our Military men in Iraq, with the background music of a Navy hymn (I think). I sent it to my brother less than a year ago and now I can't find my copy. Any help would be appreciated.

You probably won't see this in our media, but I thought it was fascinating. This is what our troops have done, and this is the best example of the President's speech. http://memritv.org/Search.asp?ACT=S9&P1=499

  • I have a Military question

I hope someone can answer my question. I have heard terms like Squadron, Brigade, Battalion, Company, Platoon, etc, but I don't know the organization or total numbers associated with each of them. Can some point to a web site that clearly shows (for example) an organization chart of how many battalions are in a Brigade? Does each branch of the military have different groups to identify them? For example, does a Regiment only exist in the Marine Corps? Thanks in advance for any help...I'm posting from work, so I might not be able to answer any responses.
  • What do the Democrats know, and why do they fear it?

Here’s my take on the democrats’ strategy to hammer away with “what did the President know, and when did he know it.” The democrats know that taking such a critical stance against a popular president is risky, however they are faced with a two far more dangerous threats. The democrats are bleeding potential voters in several critical segments; Women, Hispanics, Labor (male voters). One way to stop the bleeding is to tempt the republicans to dredge up Clinton failures in regard to Osama bin Laden. This will force voters to take a side not unlike the 2000 election. Hence, 50/50....
