(DAILY WIRE) As a student known to have psychiatric issues and a criminal record murdered 17 students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine’s Day 2018, Sgt. Brian Miller hid behind his car instead of helping teenagers and faculty. Miller was fired along with three other deputies due to a “neglect of duty,” but he now has been reinstated with full back pay, The Miami Herald reported. Miller was paid $138,410.25 in 2017, and was fired in June 2019, more than a year after the shooting.

The federal judge overseeing Michael Flynn’s criminal prosecution has directed the law firm that Flynn fired to reappear as an interested party in the controversial proceeding. On Thursday, that firm complied by filing a notice of appearance. U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan of the District of Columbia on Thursday ordered the clerk of the court to “add Covington & Burling LLP (‘Covington’) as an interested party in this matter and directed counsel for Covington to file a notice of appearance on behalf of Covington as an interested party.” John E. Hall, the chair of Covington Burling’s global litigation practice, submitted...

The Montezuma County Coroner’s Office is disputing the state’s claim of a third fatal case of the coronavirus in Cortez, saying the person died of alcohol poisoning. County Coroner George Deavers said the person tested positive for COVID-19, but an investigation by him and the pathologist determined the cause of death was ethanol toxicity. The person’s blood-alcohol content was 0.55, or almost seven times the legal driving limit of 0.08 in Colorado, Deavers said. A BAC of 0.3 is considered lethal. “COVID was not listed on the death certificate as the cause of death. I disagree with the state for...

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) spoke to the FBI and handed over documents last month related to recent stock transactions by her husband that have come under public scrutiny. "Senator Feinstein was asked some basic questions by law enforcement about her husband’s stock transactions. ...She was happy to voluntarily answer those questions to set the record straight and provided additional documents to show she had no involvement in her husband’s transactions," a spokesman said. Feinstein's conversation with the FBI took place in April and the spokesman said that "there have been no follow up actions on this issue." Feinstein's husband sold...

n January 8, London Breed, San Francisco’s mayor, was sworn in for her first full term. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi congratulated her in a tweet, saying, “I look forward to working with you to continue San Francisco’s proud tradition of standing as a guiding light for progress across America.” I don’t know what definition of “progress” Pelosi is using, but any candid observer would rate the city a catastrophe. Mayor Breed was inaugurated on the same day that I moved from San Francisco to Los Angeles, after ten years working at the cutting edge of science and technology. Even before...

Word broke nationally Tuesday that former Obama-era CIA Director John Brennan had suppressed evidence that Vladimir Putin was more interested in a Hillary Clinton win in 2016 than a Donald Trump win. My colleague Nick Arama covered the rumblings of that story in late April. Brennan, in fact, seems to the be the big fish under U.S. Attorney John Durham’s microscope, but not just because of the latest news about suppressing Putin’s preferences. Sidney Powell, the formidable attorney responsible for helping Ret. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn successfully battle the drummed-up charges against him, has very specifically said Brennan has his...

A three-judge federal appeals court said Tuesday the DOJ’s settlement with Fokker Services B.V. for alleged sanctions violations could go ahead after a district court judge rejected the arrangement as “anemic.” The U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, DC said prosecutors and not judges make decisions to enter into deferred prosecution agreement with corporate defendants. In February 2015, federal district court judge Richard Leon refused to approve the settlement. He said the proposed $21 million penalty was “grossly disproportionate to the gravity of Fokker Sercvices’ conduct in a post-911 world.” Holland-based Fokker Services admitted in a 2014 plea deal that...

Of course, we’ll never see this on any front pages of any mainstream newspapers. Ten years ago, America learned about one of the Obama administration’s dumbest ideas–and that is saying a lot–when the scandal surrounding their failed “Operation Fast and Furious” finally got too big for the mainstream media to ignore. As near as we can tell, the administration’s plan was to sell as many firearms as possible to the Mexican cartels, immediately lose track of them, and then blame any resulting bloodshed on America’s “lax gun laws.” As more and more information came out–for example, the fact that one...

Watch all of the redactions and just remember: MARK BRNOVICH, ATTORNEY GENERAL OF ARIZONA; KENT VOLKMER, PINAL COUNTY ATTORNEY AND AMANDA STANFORD (FORMER) CLERK OF THE PINAL COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT; WERE CAUGHT DOING THE SAME THING (IN COURT RECORD) THAT COULD ONLY HAVE HAPPENED IF THEY KNEW THE CONTENT OF THAT STOLEN SET UP MAIL.

Acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell has declassified the list of former Obama administration officials who were allegedly involved in the “unmasking” of then-incoming national security adviser Michael Flynn. ABC News first reported the news but initially said in the title that Grenell was in the process of trying to declassify the list of Obama officials. A source with knowledge of the matter told The Daily Wire that the list has already been declassified and now it’s on Attorney General William Barr to release the list. ABC News appeared to later update their report, which stated: Grenell, who remains...

Nearly 2,000 former Justice Department and FBI officials on Monday signed an open letter strongly critical of Attorney General William Barr's decision to abandon the prosecution of Michael Flynn, calling the action "extraordinarily rare, if not unprecedented."

Since the Wuhan coronavirus became a pandemic, we have learned more and more about China's incestuous relationship with the World Health Organization (WHO). When Taiwan attempted to blow the whistle on the virus that was raging on in China, the WHO turned their back and acted as though nothing was going on. In late January, the WHO parrotted the Chinese Communist Party's talking points, particularly that the Wuhan coronavirus was not transmitted from human-to-human. And the WHO knew they were wrong for ignoring Taiwan, which is why Bruce Alyward, the senior advisor to Director General Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, hung...

On Saturday I posted a piece noting that obama and democrats were in a state of panic. Now, their stooges in the left media join them in utter panic. You're going to see the word "deceptive" a lot. Jimmy Kimmel deceptively altered a video of Mike Pence delivering medical supplies. A small sampling of media people and Democrats pushing Jimmy Kimmel's deceptively edited video of Mike Pence delivering PPE. pic.twitter.com/GGUTL8JkyVJulio Rosas (@Julio_Rosas11) May 8, 2020 It's a late night show, right? That didn't stop the left wing media from using it as news. It was retweeted endlessly And that was...

Mexico's president asked the United States for answers and an apology for the Obama-era gun-running operation known as "Fast and Furious." On Friday, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador called for an investigation into Operation Fast and Furious to prevent it from happening again. "What seems serious to me is that a violation of our sovereignty was carried out, a secret operation, and that Mexicans were killed with these weapons," Lopez Obrador said during a press conference in Mexico City on Friday. "How could this be? A government that invades in this way, that flagrantly violates sovereignty, international laws," Lopez...

As Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker tries to meet goals for daily COVID-19 testing and contact tracing, he’s not banking on any help from the federal government, he said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” with Jake Tapper. “I have not been counting on the White House because there have been too many situations in which they’ve made promises not delivered,” Pritzker said. “Very recently they promised a lot of swabs. They’re supposed to arrive today, the first shipment of those. I’m looking forward to that. But what we’re doing is we’re going it alone, as the White House has...

A bombshell report claims Chinese President Xi Jinping personally asked World Health Organization Director-General Tedros Adhanom to 'delay a global warning' about the threat of COVID-19 during a conversation back in January. Germany's Der Spiegel published the allegations this weekend, citing intelligence from the country's Federal Intelligence Service, known as the 'Bundesnachrichtendienst' (BND). According to the BND: 'On January 21, China's leader Xi Jinping asked WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus to hold back information about a human-to-human transmission and to delay a pandemic warning. 'The BND estimates that China's information policy lost four to six weeks to fight the virus...

California Governor Gavin Newsom on Friday signed an executive order to ensure every registered voter in the state is automatically mailed a ballot for the November presidential election. The executive order does not replace in-person voting, Newsom said during a press conference. "Mail-in ballot is important but it's not an exclusive substitute to physical locations," Newsom said. He added that the state is still working to have "the appropriate number of physical sites for people to vote as well." Secretary of State Alex Padilla, who's been pushing to expand vote by mail, called into Newsom's press conference and said the...

German intelligence says China asked the WHO to help it cover up COVID-19 May 9, 2020German intelligence officials say they have obtained evidence that the Chinese government asked the World Health Organization to help it cover up the coronavirus outbreak in a finding that is sure to place no small amount of renewed pressure on Beijing. In fact, Chinese President Xi Jinping personally asked the World Health Organization to delay the release of critical information early in the outbreak, German intelligence officials conclude.Xi met with WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on January 21 to request that he withhold information about...
