Based on updates from satellite trackers, it has been indicated that Tianglong-1 will likely reenter our atmosphere in March of 2018, with the possibility of debris making it to the surface. However, according to a statement made by a top engineer at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASTC), reports that the Chinese National Space Agency (CNSA) has lost control of the space station have been wildly exaggerated. The statement came from Zhu Congpeng, a top engineer at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASTC). As he was quoted as saying to the Science and Technology Daily newspaper –...

An interesting result, as it raises a question that isn’t often asked about declining NFL ratings. How many people are boycotting because they *agree* with the player protests? SEE ALSO: Julian Assange may be stuck in the Ecuadorean embassy… forever To think, 33 percent of NFL fans missed out on one of the worst quarterbacked playoff games of all time this past Saturday in Jacksonville. If there’s any doubt that Kaepernick’s exile from the league is due partly, or even mostly, to politics rather than ability, go watch game film of Jags/Bills and ask if either team wouldn’t have benefited...

It is almost as though Joey Gargan decided to slip away before anyone noticed. And the funny thing about it is that he succeeded. So, Ted Kennedy cousin Joseph F. “Joey” Gargan, who was Kennedy’s close companion, won’t be around to answer any questions about “Chappaquiddick,” the upcoming film about the late Sen. Ted Kennedy and the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. Joey, 87, who was at Kennedy’s side that fateful night, died at his Virginia home December 12 and hardly anybody made the connection to Kennedy and Chappaquiddick

The vehicles are westbound on the 10 Freeway in Banning when the rocket’s plume begins to cut through the darkening sky. The driver in the vehicle with the camera and his children can be heard talking about the rocket in amazement while he slows for the wall of brake lights forming in front of them as other drivers take notice. Moments after they drive under the South San Gorgonio Avenue overpass, a thud is heard and then a white four-door vehicle in the next lane is shoved into the car in front of it by a van that rear-ended it....

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- An initial review of the data recorders and cameras on board the Amtrak train that derailed in DuPont on Monday suggests the train was going 78 mph in the moments before impact -- nearly 50 miles over the speed limit at that location -- and that the crew realized the speed was too high moments before, the NTSB announced Friday. Among the preliminary review, investigators concluded that the crew was not observed to be using any electronic devices before the crash, and that six seconds before impact, the engineer made a comment about going too fast. Investigators...

LAKE WORTH A Bobcat construction vehicle hauled by a large tow truck hit the 10th Avenue North overpass on Interstate 95 on Wednesday morning. The crash damaged the bridge, snarled northbound traffic on the highway for hours and shut down all eastbound lanes on 10th Avenue North, authorities said. Barbara Keller, a spokeswoman for the Florida Department of Transportation, said a combination front-end loader and backhoe struck a beam on the overpass. The backhoe was extended upward and that’s what damaged the concrete beam, she said. No other vehicles were involved and there were no injuries in the crash, according...

The world's longest aircraft has collapsed to the ground less than 24 hours after a successful test flight. The Airlander 10 - a combination of a plane and an airship - was seen to "break in two" at an airfield in Bedfordshire, an eyewitness said. "it appeared the Airlander broke free from its mooring mast, triggering a safety system which deflates the aircraft." Two people on the ground suffered minor injuries.

There is a lot of angst these days about the stock market, with the usual suspects calling for a crash that will dwarf those of 2000 and 2007. The purpose of this article is not again to refute those naysayers, but to show two very important distinctions, - one fundamental, the other technical, - between today's market, and the markets of the two most recent significant peaks.Fundamentally, as gauged by the S&P 500, the market's capitalization weighting by sector appears to be fundamentally in-line with the earnings contributions of those sectors. Using the most recent quarterly data, one can...

A change of the old order in Hollywood is long overdue, according to Paul Haggis, the Oscar-winning film-maker behind the hit films Crash and Million Dollar Baby. The Canadian screenwriter and director said many of the established rules of big-budget showbusiness should be re-examined in the light of falling box-office receipts and the recent scandalous claims and revelations about the enduring influence of the casting couch. “Los Angeles is a town run by a group of powerful corporations, the studios, and they inevitably want to make what they know they can sell. This means they often lag a few years...

David Stockman is warning about the Trump administration's tax overhaul plan, Federal Reserve policy, saying they could play into a severe stock market sell-off. Stockman, the Reagan administration's director of the Office of Management and Budget, isn't stepping away from his thesis that the 8½-year-old rally is in serious danger. "There is a correction every seven to eight years, and they tend to be anywhere from 40 to 70 percent," Stockman said recently on CNBC's "Futures Now." "If you have to work for a living, get out of the casino because it's a dangerous place." He's made similar calls, but...

A 240-foot salvage ship is on its way to aid in the recovery of a crashed Army UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter and its missing crew west of Kaena Point, a spokesman for the 25th Infantry Division said. The Military Sealift Command-chartered MV HOS Dominator, a submarine support ship, is expected to arrive in the coming days, Lt. Col. Curt Kellogg said Thursday. The ship’s involvement represents a transition from seafloor sonar mapping and camera observation by the Navy using an unmanned underwater vehicle and remotely operated vehicle to actual salvage and recovery.
