In the wake of recent terrorist attacks, liberal politicians preach taking guns away from everyone except people whom they control, like the police. Conservatives advocate putting guns into the hands of good guys. In the process, we are losing sight of our deadliest enemy: radical Muslims. Liberals tell us our most deadly enemy is the white male. Liberals have popular phrases to summarize this enemy, such as "white privilege" and "toxic masculinity." If they really hate white males so much, they should stop using the electric light bulb, made practical by Thomas Edison; nuclear power, whose theory was developed in...

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. - A North Carolina woman is facing new drug charges after she was arrested on suspicion of bringing methamphetamine into court for a hearing on previous drug charges. Brooke Ann Kellems, 24, was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday in Randolph County on possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia charges, according to WGHP-TV. When Kellems went through a security check point at the courthouse, WGHP reported that officials spotted a round container in the metal bowl that holds personal items as a person walks through the metal detector. Investigators identified a substance in the container as meth.

These laws let the government take firearms away from people who are arrested but not convicted of crimes. Even simple complaints without arrests have been enough.

Rocker David Crosby said in an op-ed published in the Daily Beast that President Donald Trump is “completely under the control of Russia” and suggested that the GOP intends to win again in 2020 with the help of the Kremlin. Crosby wondered what the Russians “have” on Trump, rehashing the egregious and unfounded allegations outlined in the anti-Trump Steele dossier. “It could be the alleged ‘pee tape,’ could be some truth to the whispers that Trump has been laundering Russian mob money for at least 20 years through his New York real estate deals, stashing illegal money in multimillion-dollar apartments...

A maniac is on the loose after he gunned down two people with an AR-15 in the middle of Houston rush-hour traffic — and then bolted in his car, with a trash bag full of weed inside, according to a new report. The chaos unfolded just before 6 p.m. Thursday on eastbound Interstate 10, when the shooter and another person in his sedan struck another vehicle, causing it to spin out, local outlet ABC 13 reported. Both suspects got out of the car — and one of them opened fire, according to the report. “A Hispanic male, tan shirt, holding...

OTTAWA — Canadians will continue to have access to the medications they need, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau promised Thursday in the face of escalating worry about a Trump administration decision to allow prescription drug imports from Canada. During a visit to Iqaluit, Trudeau said Health Canada already ensures there is a “steady and solid supply” of medications for Canadians regardless of external or international pressures. He did not, however, mention drug shortage challenges that already exist. “We recognize the new situation brought on by American announcements and Health Canada will continue to ensure that our priority is always ensuring that...

We’re living in strange times. “Morality” used to be a set of behavioral dictates not too dissimilar to the Ten Commandments. But these days, the rules are a bit more complex. Sometimes, it seems, one of the most offensive things someone can do is be born. On Wednesday, Hollywood actress Rosanna Arquette — whose Twitter profile notes that she “[resists] fascism on a daily basis” — apologized for her skin. And her birth. She’s sorry for it. And disgusted with herself. And ashamed of herself for doing it. Waaay more advanced than “Thou Shalt Not Steal.”   Her tweet...

(CNN)The El Paso shooting suspect's mother called the Allen, Texas, Police Department weeks before the shooting because she was concerned about her son owning an "AK" type firearm, lawyers for the family confirmed to CNN. The mother contacted police because she was worried about her son owning the weapon given his age, maturity level and lack of experience handling such a firearm, attorneys Chris Ayres and R. Jack Ayres said. During the call, the mother was transferred to a public safety officer who told her that -- based on her description of the situation -- her son, 21, was legally...

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF/AP) — A drug pipeline into San Francisco’s crime-ridden Tenderloin District, fueled by Honduran nationals who lived in the East Bay, has been busted up by federal agents who have arrested 32 suspects, authorities announced Wednesday. Chris Nielsen, special agent in charge of the Drug Enforcement Administration in San Francisco, told reporters that an investigation was launched in late 2017 in cooperation with San Francisco and Richmond police and uncovered two independent drug operations stretching from Mexico to Seattle. The drugs hitting the streets according to the DEA were methamphetamine, fentanyl, heroin and cocaine. “These are small...

An American basketball player was suspended after an attempt to cheat at a urine drug test backfired spectacularly – revealing he was pregnant. The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) banned Donell “DJ” Cooper Jr, a 28-year-old point guard who last played for AS Monaco, for two years for “fraud” after a urine sample was found to contain a hormone commonly associated with pregnancy. Cooper, a Chicago native and former college standout, had gone undrafted in the 2013 NBA draft but developed a successful pro career in Europe.

Cyntoia Brown has been granted clemency after serving 15 years of her life sentence — but she never should have had to spend so much time behind bars in the first place. As a condition of her release, Brown will remain on parole supervision and be required to follow state and federal laws, hold a job, and go to counseling sessions. In case you aren’t familiar with Brown’s story, she was just 16 and an alleged sex-trafficking victim when she shot and killed a real-estate agent, Johnny Allen, who was intending to pay her for sex. According to Brown, she...

Fully automatic guns are illegal, but the ban on semi-automatics (of the kind used in the Orlando shootings) and related ammunition expired in 2004. That restriction should be revived; nobody needs what many call an assault rifle to hunt game or shoot clay pigeons. At the least, the size of the magazines should be limited, which could lessen the carnage of mass shootings.

I was blessed to make a long planned all-day ride-a-long with a dear Dayton police friend from my church yesterday, just one day after the tragic mass shooting. The outpouring of love from the grateful citizens of the city of Dayton was overwhelming. Restaurants offered free food to cops, trays of cookies and donuts showed up at the station, people came up and wanted to hug officers, big waves with thank you’s were shouted our way. At traffic stops people rolled down their windows to voice their appreciation. The shooter was dropped by a hail of police bullets at the...

Connor Betts, the Dayton, Ohio mass shooter, was a self-described “leftist,” who wrote that he would happily vote for Democrat Elizabeth Warren, praised Satan, was upset about the 2016 presidential election results, and added, “I want socialism, and i’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding.” Betts’ Twitter profile read, “he/him / anime fan / metalhead / leftist / i’m going to hell and i’m not coming back.” One tweet on his page read, “Off to Midnight Mass. At least the songs are good. #athiestsonchristmas.” The page handle? I am the spookster. On one selfie, he...
